There will be a time of greater and greater tribulation, but all society, Mystery Babylon, will collapse, and then things will happen as the one prophesied as a great beast will mislead many throughout the whole world with his promises, which lead to very great ungodliness. It will involve promises that include rebuilding, with which many will follow. Christ is to come after these things when armies from that one shown to be a great beast come in battle where the few godly in the promised land will be calling on Christ's help.

There will be deception... the great lie. This is not meaning all of the world are innocent and God should forgive them. They have already been rejecting the gospel so as to be restored to God. They will be desperate enough, such that all the rest in the whole world, besides the relatively few who willingly give their lives for the Lord, will follow this one who deceives. Such will have him gain so much power. It has to be enough to make all those of the world desparate enough to follow him with any trust, though it would be ungodly. Wanting all restored to them, or enough of it, of all that had been before the collapse, will be that. How else will all the world follow after the one for his promises who actually deceives, even though it will be ungodly to do so? It should be seen.
