When covid19 cases surge

McConnell has “insisted” that the next stimulus package will include legal immunity for businesses that open back up. He told Politico, “The next pandemic coming will be the lawsuit pandemic in the wake of this one. So we need to prevent that now when we have the opportunity to do it.” It’s important to understand what McConnell is proposing here: He’s saying that he will withhold aid money to state and local governments fighting the Covid-19 pandemic if the package does not include legal giveaways to protect businesses from the justice system.

soon workers will have no rights if the republicans stay in power.
No rights? You mean like the people who have no right to go to work, go to church or visit grandma?

No I mean no rights even before covid 19 happened. You can frickin pray in your closet. Most churches have sermons online. You have every right to visit your grandma, and you just might end her life. Leave your mask at home while you visit your granny.
What part about lockdowns failed did you miss?

Should we all be able to sue the governors and other politicians who opened up too early?

What about the "protestors" who pressured them to do so?

There are clear guidelines for reopening that are being ignored.

Can we sue the tRump *administration* for not enforcing them?

How about for their generally inept response and attempts to dodge responsibility for it?
They are not going to surge during summer...sorry if that boils your TDS but the virus can't surge in dry hot weather....

Really?

Then explain the surges in Texas, California, New Mexico and all of the southern states.

The idea that it will go away in dry hot weather is just a wish. There is absolutely no proof or evidence that will happen.

The southern part of our nation has winter temperatures that we in the north have in the summer. The virus is surging in the south no matter if you want to believe that or not.

Then there's Australia. If your theory is correct why is the virus in Australia?

It's stupid to say absolutes when there is absolutely no evidence to back it up and evidence that does exist says the exact opposite.
Did you even read my post? Nothing to do with weather. You should sue your university.

What about the "protestors" who pressured them to do so?
Oklahoma Mayor Forced To Revise Mask Mandate After Rash Of Violent Threats

A proclamation went into effect in Stillwater, Oklahoma on Friday requiring that patrons of newly reopened stores and restaurants don masks while inside. Just hours later, Mayor Will Joyce was forced to revise the order amid a ferocious backlash.

“In the short time beginning on May 1, 2020, that face coverings have been required for entry into stores/restaurants, store employees have been threatened with physical violence and showered with verbal abuse,” said City Manager Norman McNickle in a statement. “In addition, there has been one threat of violence using a firearm. This has occurred in three short hours and in the face of clear medical evidence that face coverings helps contain the spread of COVID-19.”

He did the wrong thing.

The answer to that is not to remove the masks. It's to take proper legal steps to stop people from pulling a weapon on someone for following the mayor's legal order.

All that mayor did was make more people infected with the virus and for it to continue to spread.

Most states in these cases you are not allowed to sue the state.

Protesters? Get serious. The group that stormed the Michigan legislative building, do you seriously believe they changed the mind of the Michigan governor? Laughable.

It seems the states are opening up and are allowed to do so. So what "clear guidelines" are being ignored?

Sue Trump for not enforcing what? States opening up?

The last sentence makes no sense. Who is "their".

The trump guidelines say a state needs to have 14 days of decreased virus infections.

Most states don't have a decrease in people being infected with the virus.

No state has 14 consecutive days of decrease in the virus.

I'm certain PROGS are just dumb and corrupt. Then they spin things around and blame the opponent for all their problems. Don't forget people.............

A. PROGS were more concerned about impeaching Trump for any possible reason when the virus was becoming a world pandemic.

B. PROGS blamed Trump for the world pandemic, and they paint story books intended to support their desire. meanwhile Trump accomplishments are best unreported and ignored.

C. PROGS blamed Trump for his actions in the name of racism, because racism lives in their heads rent-free. PROGS enjoy victim roles, and their leaders entertain them with victim roles.

D. PROGS promoted a "emergency bill" stuffed with a progressive pipe-dream full of money for their interests and "gender/race" diversity. Then the mother fuckers had the audacity to suggest the bail-out was intended to support Trump interests.

I don't know much, but it's worth saying again PROGS are plain dumb and corrupt.

How dare the voters tell a politician to fuck off. Right comrad?

Soon the democrats will have no disease to rely on. They might have to start relying on outright murder.
So it's just going to disappear eh? :cuckoo:

When all the projections of deaths are double now at minimum, of what they were for projected deaths by August 4th before all these states decided to open up before they met the CDC and White House standards for being able to open up?

What exactly do you get for your lying bull crud you spew each day???

The reported surges have nothing to do with announcements to end the lockdown. If Texas announces that the lockdown is ending. Concurrently the democrats announce a surge in New cases it is clear that the cases have nothing to do with opening up. Someone discovered to be infected today was actually infected two weeks ago. That would be during the lockdown. It must not have worked.

California has seen no surge. That's why the hospitals have opened already. Oddly though, California has started mass testing. This revealed that the Chinese virus has been active since last fall. That brought the death rate to 0.03%. California like Australia is a Pacific Rim state with a lot of business interests with China.

The evidence really isn't backing up what democrats are telling you.

You said it would go away when it gets warm and dry.

I showed that isn't the case.

Now you're talking about something completely different from what you originally posted.

Stay on your own point.

I showed you that what you posted isn't correct. Here are some numbers from the south.

By contrast here are numbers from my state. The state where it all started in America. Where the first case and death was 10 miles from my home.

The governor of my state shutdown 3 counties, King, Snohomish and Pierce counties at the beginning of March. I live in one of those counties. We are now starting our 3rd month of shutdown. Notice how our numbers stayed lower.

The governor is opening in 4 stages starting this week. With full open by the end of the month.

Temperatures and climate won't make this go away. trump said it would be gone by the end of April. We're in May with the cases surging. Especially in the red states.

I will point out the temperatures in my state at this time of year are in the 40s and 50s. While the southern states are much warmer. Their cases and deaths are increasing a much higher rate than here. Where it's colder.

The only thing that will make this go away is a vaccine. Until then, quarantine, masks, social distancing, test and trace are our only weapons against this virus.

Georgia Florida Texas and California are big states with different climates withing each state...it can be cold and foggy in SF but hot as the dickens in the Mojave.....in July most of the country will be sweltering in high heat and that is when we will forget about Corona....right now parts of every state except maybe HI have areas and days when temps are below 65 degrees...but you know that...you are just trying to beat a dead horse.....

I couldn't get past the very moronic first part of your statement. I couldn't even get to the end of the sentence. When I read such stupidity I stop reading. There's no reason to keep reading such stupidity.

When I started reading that they have different climate I realized it's useless to try to debate you.

That's my point. They DO have a different climate from where I live. The climate they have is much hotter and dryer than where I live.

You stated that when the weather gets hotter and dryer the virus will go away.

Now you're saying the reason why the southern states have more cases and their rate of increase and death is higher than Washington is because of their different climate being hotter and dryer. Which you're contradicting yourself and confirming what I've been saying.

The weather doesn't seem to be a factor in this. My state is much, much colder and wetter, we have a natural rain forest here, than the Southern states. Yet the hotter and dryer states have more cases, more death, with their rates growing faster. The rate here has been decreasing not increasing like the southern states.

Don't bother replying to this. I won't read it. You're just too stupid to debate.
