When are people going to learn, it’s not about the size of the government, it’s about the quality

For 40 years, all we’ve heard is how big Government can’t do anything right.

The American Government didn't beat the Nazi's. The mobilization was done BY PRIVATE ENTERPRISE, reacting to crisis at breakneck speed, and hundreds of thousands of CIVILIANS who were called up and answered the call. If Government had been doing it all, the Nazi's would have conquered Europe before our first military vessel even landed in England.

The term "quality government" is any oxymoron. So the less the better.

There is NOTHING done by government that a private company couldn't do better.

HOWEVER, there are many governmental functions that are not appropriate for the profit motive...e.g., policing, fire protection, national defense, the court systems (civil and criminal).

Social Security would be a whole 'nother thread, but maybe worth it.

How I know: 8 years in Govt, 50 in the private sector, much of which was interfacing with government at all levels. There is NO COMPARISON between working for Govt and working for a private, profit-driven enterprise. It's like kindergarten vs working toward a legitimate college degree.

Bloomberg? Isn't that the guy who said China was not a despotic regime and that they were responsive to the needs of their citizens?

That scares the hell out of me because he is just one of many elites who try and sell this crap to the world, only because he is on their payroll.
