What's wrong with our government.

The founders did not anticipate the shift to empire.
The Founders Were Flounderers

The smug scum at Mind Control sucker people into believing that the self-appointed rulers' enabling document was some sort of benevolent Bible, and that the Founding Fodder were sacred Evangelists. That is either sacrilege or mindless superstition.

Because it's FPTP.

The politicians often don't rely on the voters to keep them in power, they rely on the MONEY.

With Proportional Representation this would change.
Any Kind of "Representation" Is Tyranny

Everybody despises this republic, but they're all afraid to say so. Proof is that no embee elects a few @s to vote for everybody else.

What's wrong with our government.

It's existence.

If Congress acted in accordance with the people's views on the major issues facing the country the POT, Party of trump, would be out of business.
LMAO, Congress has acted with the people's views on the major issues facing the country as they were directed to in Nov. 2024 when the red wave took the US back. The globalist, democrat, Marxist party is OUT OF BUSINESS.

MONEY RULES, We did not pay attention,,, when our government (MOST ALL from both major party's)
became bought & paid for.

You believe a house made of straw will protect you in a hurricane
Voting doesn't make one a good citizen. Good citizenship does. I don't need an instruction manual from the government to be a good citizen.

It's the government that designs houses made of straw so that they will be destroyed in a hurricane. Instead of "promoting the general welfare" they are destroying it through neglect.

The voters are a big problem. Keep voting in shitty duopoly moonbats, and then scream at each other about which party sucks less.
Half of the possible * legitimate* voters don't even participate.

It's certainly and rationally arguable that there is no "consent of the governed".

Simple answer. They don't listen to the people they 'represent'. Congressperson's desks are piled high with the real issues the people want addressed. Meanwhile they are chasing the 'soup of the day' issues along with others in the cloister. Also, they have no idea what's going on in their districts back home, and they don't care.
1. Our Founders knew it would only work as long as moral people were involved

2. After being filled with immoral people, they figured out how to get essentially a commission on spending

3. China executes corrupt officials, we reelect them

Here's how government works, using our local lakes as an example.

The county "Land and Lakes" website boasts about its lake management prowess, that it has 13 lake weed harvesters clearing weeds from our chain of lakes. Pictured are clear, clean waters. But here's the problem.

Double the number of harvesters are needed.
Two or more harvesters are in the shop for repairs at any given time.
Operator absentees further reduce the number of operating harvesters.
Smaller harvesters are needed for weed clearing around piers and shorelines.
Pictures of clear, clean waters are taken before or after peak weed growth.
The DNR doesn't allow weed harvesting in vast areas.
Some harvesters are committed to small areas all season, namely keeping the channels connecting the lakes free of weeds.
Shoreline areas are left weed choked, denying shoreline fishing opportunities.
The lakes are managed for "trophy" fishing rather than general use and enjoyment.

Every spring the county executive assures us that lake water quality is a top priority, then the lakes get worse.

Millions are then spent on bike paths, many that run beside the weed choked lakes as the final insult.

One big problem is that our legislators don't have enough real-world experience. They depend on "experts' who usually have an agenda of their own for advice. They are also beset by lobbyists and special interest groups whose proposals may or may not serve the common good.

Over a hot summer weekend a friend and I cut, raked, baled, and stored a huge field of hay. The owner, my friend's uncle-in-law, couldn't believe that two men could do that much work in just two days. He simply wasn't experienced in manual labor. So it is with most of our legislators, so they overpay, with our money, for jobs that can be done at much lower cost. Then, having spent all of the money on a few projects, many other needed ones go undone. Worse, to do those other jobs huge sums of money are then borrowed.
