For those bitching, come up with a better plan so the people can afford to see a doctor when they get sick or shut up concerning those who are trying.

What cracks me up is your use of the word "better" to describe a plan. Since we don't know what we want, how does anyone know what is "better".

And anyone can see a doctor who is sick. We have a stupid system for that....go to the ER. If you can find one. As far as "trying"....you'll get the same response.....don't try with MY MONEY.

While Obama was President, the Republican House partially or fully repealed Obamacare more than 60 times!

And yet, strangely, when they had full control of both houses of Congress, and the White House, there were no more repeals!

They had a partial repeal, with no replacement, which passed the House while Trump was president, and Trump held a prematurely ejaculatory celebration on the White House lawn. But then John McCain spoiled the whole thing with a thumbs down since it was all a hoax and did not actually replace Obamacare.

Pooled risk is certainly a good way to avoid really expensive care.

However, I am with you in that we want to do way to much for way to many using other people's money. The cries of "uncaring" or "selfish" have been drowned out by to much else to matter any more. We take care of our own. And when someone gets sick, we need to keep doing that.

Unless it is way beyond our individual or collective capability. Then I can see it.

But, as you stated, health care is a free market commodity and prices adjust accordingly. And when the government is willing to spend so much money for poor results, there are plenty willing to take it.

The ACA remains political BS. Medicaid existed long before and has singlehandedly saved this country from ruin.

Modern private insurance is simply a form of gambling. Rich people, who by definition need for nothing, often win while practically everyone else loses. The odds always favor the house. Add up all the premiums you've paid for homeowners insurance.. Now, how many times has your house burned to the ground? Suppose it did. How much would you actually get without taking your insurance company to court? Did you win? Who did?

Car insurance. Imagine no participation had ever been mandatory. Have you won? Who did?

Life insurance. You'll be dead. Your kids would likely be better off in the long run if you just handed them the money each month now instead of giving any to an insurance company.

Rental insurance. Don't be stupid. Buy a home.

Police, fire, and ambulance. Contribute to each department annually.

Single payer actually means getting rid of all the big health insurance leeches. Obama provided us the opposite. True Medicare 4 All is the only option that makes any sense. Don't listen to all these insurance peddlers here. It's the laziest, most despicable occupation on Earth.
