P F Tinmore, et al,

This is almost a decade old news article. It is hardly a "strikes again" event.

IDF (Israeli Doofus Force) strikes again.

(OBSERVATIONS)

“When Israeli forces routinely and repeatedly demolish homes in occupied territory without showing that it’s necessary for military operations, it appears that the only purpose is to drive families off their land, which is a war crime,”
---- Joe Stork, Deputy Director of Human Rights Watch's Middle East and North Africa division
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"We are aware that Israeli settlers are again destroying Palestinian trees. The United States condemns and calls for an immediate end to such actions. We note the Government of Israel is working to address the situation. Those perpetrating these provocative acts should be arrested and prosecuted to the full extent of the law."
--- US Department of State --- Israel/Palestinians: Uprooting of Palestinian Olive Trees

"(CNN) "The official Palestianian news agency is reporting that Israeli settlers have chopped down and seized about 800 Palestinian-owned olive trees near the town of Shuyukh, east of Hebron.

The report, by WAFA, the Palestine News & Information Agency, cited "a local source," whom it did not identify. Israel has yet to comment on the report.
The source, described by WAFA as "a local activist," told the agency that residents of the Israeli settlements of Bani Kadim and Asfar broke into an olive orchard near the town and chopped down the trees, which belonged to people who lived in the area."

(COMMENT)

DEMOLITION OF HOUSES:

In the case of the houses, the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) does not have to convey its justification for the demolishment of a house. In fact, it is the other way around (innocent until proven guilt) the burden of proof that there was no military necessity, or serious security issue involved.

Additionally, demolition may be done to:

• Enforce building codes and regulations,
• Counter-Insurgency security measure to impede or halt militant operations,
• Expropriation of Palestinian properties and resources for the expansion of Israeli settlements in Area "C",

DESTRUCTION OF OLIVE TREES:

The general outline of the overall magnitude and primary issues pertaining to the Destruction of Olive Groves sounds huge, but not necessarily is huge. The general complaint is the Police performance is poor. The biggest complaint by the human rights NGO Yesh Din claims that when it comes to cases of destruction to Palestinian olive trees in the West Bank, Israeli Police almost never locate suspects and bring them to justice.

Most Respectfully,

Israel destroys Palestinian property for two reasons.

To remove them from their land, i.e. ethnic cleansing.

To make them dependent on Israel for their survival as a means of control.

The silly "ethnic cleansing" slogan is just another tired cliche used as an appeal to emotion. As for being dependant, the arab-moslem retrogrades occupying the disputed territories are already dependant on a UN welfare agency that now caters to continuing the fraud we know as "Pal'istanians".

Another islamonazi LIE to hide the fact that you deny the Jews their rights to control their own land in full

we see the same stories, word for word, and the same pictures of tourists at a respectful distance reprinted in gaza "news" that jewish settlers have invaded al-aqsa every few months.

The story has bee reprinted for the better part of a decade or more when no such "invasion" or anything close takes place.
Palestinians attack not just those on the mount, police and those praying at the wall based on lies.
We have seen lie videos of peaceful tourism and palestinians in mosques trowing rocks and fire and furniture and anything else to begin fights and draw in police. They destroy not just the inside but outside of their precious mosque and blame jews. The ruin rugs and rip qurans inside when no jew goes near the doors or courtyard but setters and riot IDF are blamed.

Palestinians blame the destruction of tree after regular cutting of tree for healthy growth at the end of season. They have laid out "chopped" olive tree that are not even olive wood. New tree orchards planted one day are pulled up, still in burlap root bundles and leaned against a fence, blamed on settlers in areas where there are few settlers. Pictures of seasonal cut trees deep in the west bank are given captions close to the wall or jewish towns.

I've been watching the PA and gaza news as antisemitic sites publish fake stories since Oslo. I've listened to fake stories repeated over and over for decades before that.

90% of these stories should be taken in a master cellar of salt and what truth is hidden in them is overblown exaggerations in all but a handful of times.

I automatically check for a number of sources and back check for the last five years not just the stories but pictures and video as well. This is SOP especially when sources are from gaza or hamas based sources.

I wish I could take them on faith but experience has proven otherwise.

I remember fake deeds for land printed in Beirut and old keys with no locks from junk yards being handed as "proof" of homes back in Israel.

If they said the sun is bright, I'd look up for myself.

Truth is the first victim of the palestinians.

Yes, there are a few bad people from extreme jewish groups, but they are the minority. They do not represent all jews, israelis or IDF. Even arabs know most of what palestinians and antisemitic groups state as fact are laced if not outright lies. Most don't trust palestinians and have had their own history of problems with them.

Peace has a long journey to get beyond the forest of disinformation.

As for the points in the article just to list them:

Palestine would be economically more sound if ...
  • they had more actual, physical territory
  • if they had access to more water resources
  • if they could move freely within "their" territory
  • if they had no restrictions of movement to a foreign nation
  • if illegally built homes were not dismantled
  • if there were no "settlements" within "their" territory (read: if no Jews lived there)
  • if conflict did not destroy infrastructure
No one said "No Jews" they said No Israeli illegal immigrants

The Islamic revulsion for Jews (and Christians), is enshrined in the hate and war manual called the Koran.

Israel has produced a strong economy under 60 years of threat of war.

And which JEWS were illegal Israeli immigrants then. Remember that under international law the Jews were legal immigrants invited by the lands last 3 sovereign owners to migrate and settle. No arab muslim was invited, so they are the illegal immigrants.

The two palestinian charters in existence say NO JEWS

Ah. So, the settlements can all stay, as long as the residents adopt a Palestinian citizenship in what would become Palestinian territory. Yes, I agree that would help the Palestinian economy.

Well, fanger, I admit you have surprised me. Aren't you one of the ones who is constantly saying that the "settlers" must go back where they came from?

The immigrants will be welcomed, if they integrate and swear
allegiance to their Palestinian hosts, a bit like immigrants to the US
