The left are now wringing their hands fearing their agenda is overripe, blaming everyone else for their own spoiled pickling. While Obama's sinking prospects for re-election are disquieting, the real source of liberals' despair is their sudden, unexpected realization that the progressive agenda is dead in its tracks and will likely be in full retreat after 2012.

They say that private charitable organizations use most of their donations on administrative costs. Sometimes 70% or more.

With the government it's worse. When it comes to Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and other entitlements 75 cents out of every dollar goes to paying salaries, pensions, heating and AC, buying paper, computers, upkeep of facilities, etc.

The difference is that government doesn't make money it only spends it so it's all taken out of the treasury, and when that runs out it's ether borrowed or taxes are raised.

100% agreed--Obama was their left wing agenda man. They have spent the wad on this man--moveon.org--funded by foreign billionaire George Soros--ACORN--along with liberal left wing college and university professors--all preaching that capitalism is EVIL--and that the WEALTHY are EVIL--and that everyone is a VICTIM--and appropriations should be made to them from all of the above. (They wouldn't support Hillary Clinton--because she wasn't as far left as Obama.)

I once read that the cost to the VA for patients care was 94 cent for every dollar. Only 6 cents per dollar was used on Administrative costs.

Think about Medicare. Health Care companies won't insure the elderly because they cost too much. If we didn't have Medicare, they would have to rely one Emergency Rooms, which by law, no one can be turned away. That means their care would be anywhere from 10 to 100 time greater than regular health care costs and the tax payer would be left to foot the bill. They have to anyway, but at a fraction of the cost using Medicare.

That's just the reality.

Anytime you introduce a "profit motive", the costs skyrocket. Why? Because there is a "profit motive". Republicans say, "Oh, well you'll have competition and that will drive down the costs". Only that hasn't happened. You have insurance company CEO's getting a hundred million dollar bonus and the number one cause of bankruptcy is "Medical Bills". More of the same doesn't make it better, it makes it worse.

Too bad Republicans have dined on that swill for so long. They have lost the ability to understand what is so fucking obvious.

There could be no better proof of the Federal Government's incompetency than with Social Security and Medicare. Both of these funds are near bankruptcy along with Medicade.

In TRUTH--the Federal Government couldn't operate a lemonade stand without driving it into bankruptcy. Yet, you liberals continue to look in their direction for SOLUTIONS.

3% of all small businesses make over $250K. Even if ALL of them made over $250K, they still would not pay 39%. Why?

Because they only pay that on the money over $250K!!

We have rolled back NONE of their agenda, not once, not ever. Reagan got a tax cut and defeated their home team, in response they took over the Democrat Party. We had a "Compassionate" " Conservative" president (he was neither) and a Republican Congress and we got Mo' n' Better Progressivism in the form of Prescription Drugs and Sabotage of our Educational System and the Patriot Act to boot.
