Moses did not destroy the 5 Books that God instructed him to write. Joshua took them into the land of inheritance, Israel. Where they went after Israel apostatized, who knows. Good thing they were smart enough to make copies so that we have them today.

"Work out your own salvation..." seems to be self-determination.

There is 'actionable' knowledge and 'nice to know' knowledge. I know some of each.

There's a lot more actionable knowledge with prophets and apostles. I'm fortunate to be in The Church of Jesus Christ in these the Latter-days.

You are really interpreting the Old and New Testaments incorrectly. They are in fact by far more for freedom and self determination than what you have. Commandments don't shrink freedom nor self determination. They give us an actual path we can focus completely on. A plan for happiness which includes the plan for our salvation and exaltation in the kingdom of Heaven.

that is not true - those you claim were the reaction against the tyranny of the desert religions uninterrupted from their beginnings to this day manifested through their bibles to persecute and victimize the innocent they relish and have no limits for their maleficence.

your example were it plausible has no value by its characterization monetized through the ages against the innocent by christianity.
