What is wrong with Merrick Garland? Is he asleep at the wheel - or just afraid?

Good luck with that. :auiqs.jpg:

Just remember when Republicans are in charge and groups like BLM and ANTIFA start attacking again it was people like yourself that set the bar for future prosecutions.

Funny. Fighting for racial justice isn't the same as orchestrating a coup to overthrow a presidential election.

Attacking cops, innocent civilians and attacking state and federal facilities is the same no matter what your cause.

You idiots cheered though when it was in the name of a cause you support.

That's ok, you've all set the bar for how they'll be treated in the future so don't bitch when the pendulum swings back the other way.

There was no "insurrection" and we all know it, there were a handful of bad actors that day that committed serious crimes for which they deserve whatever penalties are assigned but the rest are guilty of nothing worse than trespassing.

Merrick Garland, 'Do Your Job,' Says Frustrated Member Of House Panel Probing Capitol Riot

Contempt of Congress charges languish with the Department of Justice as the select committee's members fume at the attorney general.

Members of the House select committee investigating last year’s riot at the U.S. Capitol expressed frustration Monday over an apparently inattentive and slow-moving Justice Department, with one lawmaker telling Attorney General Merrick Garland in a speech: “Do your job.”

Members complained of a lack of support from the Justice Department and were annoyed that criminal contempt of Congress charges have not yet been filed against former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows for failure to comply with a subpoena from the committee.

The backlog is likely to grow with the expected recommendation by the House panel to bring criminal contempt of Congress charges against Donald Trump’s former trade adviser Peters Navarro and ally Dan Scavino.

Federal prosecutors have begun a grand jury investigation into how classified White House documents that ended up at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Florida home were mishandled. ISN'T THIS WHAT THEY WANTED TO 'LOCK HER UP' FOR?!

MAJOR BREAKING NEWS!!!!!

WASHINGTON — The Justice Department has asked the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack for transcripts of interviews it is conducting, which have included discussions with associates of former President Donald J. Trump, according to people with knowledge of the situation.

The move, coming as Attorney General Merrick B. Garland appears to be ramping up the pace of his painstaking investigation into the Capitol riot, is the clearest sign yet of a wide-ranging inquiry at the Justice Department.

The committee has interviewed more than 1,000 people so far, and the transcripts could be used as evidence in potential criminal cases or to pursue new leads.

The move comes amid signs that Attorney General Merrick B. Garland is accelerating the pace of his investigation into the Capitol attack.Credit...

Yes, Merrick Garland should do the job he was appointed to, to make biased decisions for the Borg collective that appointed him to do the Borg's bidding. The DOJ should only be an independent agency under Republicans. Under Democrats, the DOJ needs to do the left's bidding.

Justice Dept. Requests Transcripts From Jan. 6 Committee

The DOJ finally let the cat out of the bag!

I heard on CNN that the J6 Committee said "NO" to Garland's request for transcripts. Has anyone else heard that?

The committee has not agreed to the request, because Chairman Bennie Thompson, a Democratic congressman from Mississippi, told reporters that the depositions were the property of the committee, according to the spokesman.
