What is the reason why the price of housing is so expensive?

Before Covid the price of buying a house was way cheaper now the price of buying house is really expensive like really expensive now.

Some people say it is because of an inflation and others say it is because of high immigration.

If you look at Wikipedia the immigration is not that much more under Biden.

If you look at immigration numbers there almost at 900,000 immigration every year coming to the US.

That almost like city of Dallas every year being built.
Demand out-stripping supply coupled with the cost of materials.

Not counting gottaways its likely even more. The good news is last year 2.6 million were deported or self deported.

That is not going to do much if there is 20 million illegal immigrates in the US.

You may want to look up the definition of Naturalization,
Naturalization (or naturalisation) is the legal act or process by which a non-national of a country acquires the nationality of that country after birth.<a href="Naturalization - Wikipedia"><span>[</span>1<span>]</span></a> The definition of naturalization by the International Organization for Migration of the United Nations excludes citizenship that is automatically acquired (e.g. at birth) or is acquired by declaration. Naturalization usually involves an application or a motion and approval by legal authorities. The rules of naturalization vary from country to country but typically include a promise to obey and uphold that country's laws and taking and subscribing to an oath of allegiance, and may specify other requirements such as a minimum legal residency and adequate knowledge of the national dominant language or culture. To counter multiple citizenship, some countries require that applicants for naturalization renounce any other citizenship that they currently hold, but whether this renunciation actually causes loss of original citizenship, as seen by the host country and by the original country, will depend on the laws of the countries involved.
...

In other words, citizenship.
In the USA, along with assorted processes and fees, there is a requirement of five years minimum residence before citizenship (naturalization) can be granted.

Naturalization is legal immigrants that become citizens....get a grip.
Yup!

Citizenship and Naturalization

Citizenship is a unique bond that unites people around civic ideals and a belief in the rights and freedoms guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution.

Deciding to become a U.S. citizen is one of the most important decisions an immigrant can make. Depending on your situation, there may be different ways to obtain citizenship.

  • Naturalization is the process by which U.S. citizenship is granted to a lawful permanent resident after meeting the requirements established by Congress in the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA).
  • Acquisition of citizenship is obtained through U.S. citizenship parents either at birth or after birth, but before the age of 18.

So what are you saying those 900,000 immigration every year into the country every year are not applying for citizenship?

WTF !
You claim to be 38 years old and still can't read or comprehend English, or do basic math/arithmetic !

1) I'm not saying anything, I'm quoting you terms and conditions excerpted per INS = Immigration and Naturalization Services, USA Federal Government. Read the links in full, if you want to be informed and learn something, like answer to your question.

2) Legal Immigration into this nation Does NOT automatically start application for citizenship. That requires an affirmative action on the part of an immigrant, plus application forms, fees, tests, AND a Minimum of FIVE YEARS Residence before citizenship can be granted.

3) There Are NOT 900,000 immigration's (legal) every year into this country. You total the numbers in the right side column (of the OP) and divide by the number of years shown (2000 - 2023) and that shows an average per year, which is way below 900,000. [Hasty rough mental tally suggests more like @ 700,000 +/-]

>): Cripes! You can neither read nor do basic arithmetic it seems. How the hell do you function in life ?
Or are you still living at home having mommy and daddy feed and care for you ?

You just said there not immigrants but naturalization born. I said there are close to 900,000 immigrants coming to the US every year based on that source. And you said it much higher than that source as that source only counts naturalization born not immigrants coming to the US every year.

You just said naturalization is not how you count immigration as that only counts naturalization born not immigrants coming to the country every year.

No I did not.
It's clear you either lack reading comprehension skills or it's too late at night for your brain to function properly.

Yeah, naturalization is not how you count immigration. That's like basing census numbers on how many ate at Waffle House.

Looking back at the post it was this poster who said that and was not you.

The system is managed to pass capital from the idle hands of the middle class to the hands of the capital class where it will be invested and provide a ROI, driving up growth and GDP. The stock market is risky and capital investors are looking for better, safer ROI. Real Estate is one option. At least until the bubble bursts, but then the investors get the bailouts, not the middle class.

From what I have heard and read politicians need sponsors to finance their election campaigns. Investors in real estate show up at the right time to assist elected officials become elected officials and thus...... these elected officials favour policies that cause their buddies and supporters in the Real Estate Markets to make a TON OF $$$$$$$$$!

Demand out-stripping supply coupled with the cost of materials.
Expectations increased also

Buyers often want fancier houses that they can afford

Ordinary Americans from the 1940’s and 50’s would be shocked by the size fancy trim of modern houses

What are you talking about naturalization is foreign born. If you are from China living in the US your are a naturalization citizen living in the US.

When you move to other country you are naturalization citizen.

NO !
In the USA and other countries, naturalization citizen is not automatic as result of being there.
One has to intentionally start whatever administrative and legal process exists; filling out applications, paying fees, passing tests and background checks, spending required time residing, etc.

It's all materialistic these days.
