With Joe spouting he is being manufacturing back to the United States when he does nothing to do so. The only manufacturing is adding some employment with total government subsidies paid for by the taxpayers.

That is not even close to answering the question...

Again, what is the aims of these tariffs on Canada...

If they never let them in, they can't get to the US illegally. Illegals from India use Canada as a gateway into the US. They fly into Canada, cross into the US and voila! They are here!

Wrong. NAFTA was in place. It was scheduled to be re-negotiated during his first term. He said he didn't like NAFTA and negotiated a "great deal", called it USMCA. He owns that.
USMCA is scheduled to be looked at next year. Imposing those tariffs just signals the world that treaties with the US are not worth the paper they're written on.
