Gavin Newsom is trying to be the anti-Trump. Democrats love it and he may very well become the dem nominee in 2028. But, Americans as a whole aren't going to vote for the anti-Trump. Newsom switched on a dime during the LA riots from pretending to be a moderate to showing his true colors, which Americans don't want. They now see that he is no moderate. What Is the Democratic Alternative to Trump?
The Pavlovian Left goes berserk at the mere prospect of each new Trump initiative.
Its escalating reactive venom and hysteria are calibrated to the success of Trump's latest policy.
Yet the new hard-left Democratic Party offers no counter-agenda to explain its furor. Still less do Democrats attempt bipartisan efforts to craft shared legislation.
Take foreign policy.
Democratic senators trashed the recent Trump-Putin Alaskan summit as a failure. Then they became depressed when, just days later, an entourage of European leaders and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy suddenly flew to the White House.
The Euros praised Trump for offering some sort of negotiated pathway to peace after over three years of war and some 1.5 million dead, wounded, missing, and captured on both sides -- on Europe's doorstep.
So why did Democrats object to such negotiations by Trump?
Was the reason that no such thing occurred during the Biden administration, when Putin invaded Ukraine, after his earlier invasions during the Obama era?

Under the Biden administration, over 10 million illegal aliens flooded the country, sometimes 10,000 a day at the southern border. More than half a million criminals swarmed in.
Yet now there is essentially zero illegal immigration and over 100,000 criminal aliens deported. A million who entered illegally have voluntarily gone home.
Yet the left has fought the enforcement of immigration law tooth and nail.
Do they believe that it is lawful and moral to break immigration law but immoral and illegal to enforce it?

So the contrast with Trump's successes is too hard to bear.
Two, Democrats so hate Trump the messenger that they seek to destroy his entire message, even when it benefits their own country and the world at large.
If Trump conducts peace, they prefer war. If he wages war on crime, they side with the criminal. If he stops illegal immigration, they want more illegal immigrants.
Three, they fear they have no alternatives to the Trump record, because his agenda is common sense and supported by a majority of Americans.
Fourth, the left cannot stop Trump's success.
Nothing seems to destroy him -- not the raid on his home, not 93 lawfare indictments, not efforts to strike him from state ballots, not two impeachments, not even two assassination attempts.
Instead, all that only made him stronger -- and thus more hated.

Democrat answer: A Socialist Marxist Democrat controlled government forever.
Democrats are hanging on the hope that one more round of anti Trump hate and historical mid-term election gains will put them back in the cat bird seat. As reported on TV Democrat focus groups are telling politicians that they don’t hate Trump and MAGA enough.
Unfortunately, their actions and policies are turning people away from the Neo-Democrat Party that has been taken over by DSA Marxist Democrats funded by the CPUSA.
History shows us that much of the post WWII Democrat directed foreign policy was naive and misguided, but everything collapsed when the collapse of the Soviet Union undermined the career prospects of all of the Soviet studies PhD who became irrelevant unless we could keep the Russia a threat to our vital national security affairs going. That sad sack Bolton is a cautionary tale about all of them. It seems that the whole point of the National Security Deep State with their own idea of their constitution protecting them is to prevent a sovereign president from any rapprochement with Russia undermining their “Cosa Nostra.”
Fact: Putin invaded Ukraine, after his earlier invasions of Georgia and the Crimea during the Obama era. The left’s solution?
Obama, Biden and Democrats are okay with arming foreign countries. Yet, grabbing guns from Americans is an obsession with them since the 1930's. The same Democrat Lefties that gleefully trample Second American Rights, are hell bent on supplying weapons to foreign countries.

- Depleting US defense weaponry that protected American families to supply ukraine

No. They actually went house to house, confiscating handguns, rifles, shotguns, anything that could shoot. It was not just in New Orleans city ghetto/slums, but extended to gate communities, that were protecting themselves from after hurricane looters. Mostly state trooper did the actual confiscation, while Federalized National Guards, covered the front of the home or building with machine guns and M16s and other small arms, acting in backup support. Ordinary citizens in their homes with their personally own home defense fire arms, removed by state troopers and Federalized troops, at gun point after hurrican emergency declared. There were isolated case or two of individual Guardmen going AWOL and returning to their home state, rather than act as part of the weapons confiscation operation. This is how Republican confiscate, not just banning sale, but going in and physically taking all weapon, during a declared emergency, many, never returned. It left a bad taste in the mouths of Guardsmen and residents alike, as purely un-American to have civillians homeowners weapons removed with the back of Federal Troops, sent by the President.

The real question is who can rake in money for the DNC? That person gets the nomination. It really doesn't matter if they win the election or not, it's all about raking in the donations. But after Harris blew through more than a billion and couldn't win the popular vote or a swing state, who is going to throw money at the democraps now? My guess is the Big Donors are probably thinking it's time to switch back to the GOP if they want political favors. The DNC is going to have to live off of REAL grassroots funding and the base is dwindling fast. The DNC is now just a money pit. Remember, always follow the money.

What is your point? That during a hurricane, mobilizing National Guard Troops from the area being hit, is difficult with troops own homes underwater, Armories underwater, etc. Everybody knows this, already. The National Guard during that operation were under from many states, Title 10, Federal duty, commanded by Lieutenant General Russel L. Honoré, not some Governor or National Guard Adjutant General. Federalized troops on Active Duty under Title 10 orders, authorize by President Bush.
