The "way its always been done" mantra is slowing but surely losing its footing. People dont want to eek by. And i dont blame them. Its not a duty to marry and have kids. Its a choice. That freedom to make that choice isvwhy the nation is great. Societal pressure to do this or dont do this is being pushed aside.

Who says it s “eeking by” to live in a 1100 sf house and go on modest vacations? That’s how the middle class lived when I was a kid, and nobody considered ourselves eeking by. We considered ourselves to be living a nice life - a single family home with a backyard, going to the beach every summer, buying new school clothes at Pennys, and eating at restaurants for birthdays.

The problem is that liberals think anything short of a McMansion and a week in the Caribbean every winter is “eeking by.”

We arent china. But the out of pocket price to have kids in a hospital is rising. So that leads to less births. The price of housing isnt coming down. That leads to less kids. Credit card debt is rising, so less kids. The price of food is rising. Wages going up a little is going to do little. Asking people to work harder longer to have kids will not be well received. Oh add daycare expenses of 40 plus hours per week. That alone takes up one full paycheck per month. Utility bills arent coming down. Have to save for retirement so thats almost 1 full paycheck per month. Does anyone wonder why people arent having kids?

Ok, as long is the one income person is making well over six figures then maybe, barely. The healthcare deductibles need to be very very low. The car needs to be junk. Finances need to be strict. I'm getting ready to drop some truth bombs on you liberals.

The simple fact of the matter is, I am a centrist. Centre-right, perhaps. But I am a centrist by definition because I have both left-leaning and right-leaning beliefs. But I am a social conservative and the simple fact is that by around 12 weeks you have a fetus on your hands, a literal baby. Abortions should be restricted as far as we can humanely restrict them. Period.

Plus the collapse of Western birthrates is indeed something to be concerned about. You need manpower to run society. That's just a fact.
