What Is It With Women and The Democratic Party?

Why today, do both spouses have to work to 'squeak' by? What happened?
One person making 70 thousand isnt going to afford housing, healthcare, a car, a decent vacation, food, and housing. It takes 2 just to afford those. Adding a kid just adds alot more expense. Oh then there is daycare afor 40 plus hours per week. Utilities. Oh insurance premiums are going up. Plus save for retirement. Wheres the money to afgord a child?

As a woman myself I just can't figure them out. Why do women often vote differently than men? Even black people are starting to wake up so when will women? Especially since they're voting for a party that hates them.
The Democrats respect women. The republicans do not. They are adults of equal status and can make their own decisions. No need for laws that don't even allow them control of their own bodies and laws that make them second class citizens. That's what republicans offer and no amount of brainwashing and lies are going to change that. Nothing is nothing.

And where’s the money going to come from to hand out $100,000 to every woman who gives birth?

Thats sarcasm. Theres no way to reverse the trend.
There are ways. First, the young couple can buy a modest 1100 sf townhouse when the kids are young to allow the mother to stay home. Then, in 10 or 12 years when they’re in school, the mother can return to her job and together the earnings will be enough to buy a single family house.

Or, if even the townhouse is too expensive, they can rent a modest apartment in the early years.

It’s called delayed gratification.

A much better plan is to stay single, do not have kids, and work incessantly and save save save. Take no vacations, avoid any fun expenses. Work and home, nothing else. Retire in ones earlt fifties. Theres the american dream.

Yes, all that is true but why? Why can't a married couple have 1 supporting the monetary needs of the family and one taking care of the children and the home? What happened? It used to be that way in the 50's.

Well i was a young kid during the 50s. It was not nearly as good as it is touted. Look at the decline in unions as part of the problem. Overall as a nation we have chiselled away at average working peoples benefits and pay.

MAGA is all about emotions. I like being a democrat because there are so many women in the party. And they are fun women, not ike those boring ass right wing Republican women. But then again, Republican men don't like women.
Nothing is more amusing than a conservative woman. It's like watching bad theater.

If everyone did that, the human race would be extinct 100 years from now.

Getting married, having kids. And eeking by. An increasing number of young people are saying no thanks. The trend is growing. Not sure if its good or bad, just the way things are.

Part of it is that the definition of a “good life” - meaning middle class - has taken on a new meaning.

Back in the 50s, a family with a working dad and a SAH mom with two kids lived in a 1000 foot square ranch house or split level, with one bathroom. There was one car. There was no garage. Eating in a restaurant was reserved for someone’s birthday, and even then it was an inexpensive place. A vacation was a one-week apartment rental a few blocks off the beach. There was one TV.

Now, young families feel deprived if they don’t have a 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom house with a 2-car garage, can afford a winter ski trip and a summer week to Disney, eat out regularly, with every kid having his own TV, iPhone, and iPad. Dinners at steakhouses and upscale seafood places are looked upon as being part of the middle class.

Here is a 3-bedroom, 2-bath home that a single earner making $75,000 could afford. Decent starter home for a young family. Then, when the kids are older, Mom can go back to work and they can buy a nicer home.

Thats a 300,000 dollar house. All the more proof that its much better for the nation if young people wait until they have 6 figure nest egg saved before entertaining marriage and kids.

Or……live modestly in the early years. Many people don’t hit $100,000 until their 40s, if at all. Then conception is more difficult, and you end up being 60 years old with high schoolers.

Much better to start earlier, live modestly at first, and move up as one’s earning power increases. That’s the way it’s always been done.

Nope, the price is based on affordability which is higher because of dual income. If more married couples would depend on the man’s income, and buy what they can afford, expensive home would sit vacant and, sooner or later, prices would align with the lower priced market.

We also need to look at AI and alot of jobs becoming obsolete. Therefore less people will be needed. Theres that too. Wow sounds like interesting times ahead. If we have alot less jobs in the future, what do all the unemployed folk do? You have a lot of big obstacles to overcome. Almost insurmountable.

The "way its always been done" mantra is slowing but surely losing its footing. People dont want to eek by. And i dont blame them. Its not a duty to marry and have kids. Its a choice. That freedom to make that choice isvwhy the nation is great. Societal pressure to do this or dont do this is being pushed aside.
