What is it Exactly that so Infuriates the Left about Trump?

Trump hates us, and shows it with every breath, word and tweet he takes. And it isnt just hatred for his direct enemies, but simply for a party opponent....any and all Democrats That's simply inappropriate for a President, regardless of an every day Joe or Josephine's dislike of him....

I don't know the reason for others, I can only speak for myself on immigration.

People from both sides were fine with him deporting the bad, violent criminal immigrants as he said he would do.

The jack boot, masked, unmarked car method of throwing immigrants to the ground then whisking off the street, immigrants who are not the violent criminals or gang members, without a chance to even say goodbye to their kids or wife and make some needed arrangements for them, is simply too unnecessarily cruel for me to stomach. And it is too Gestapo like or Soviet like, which never in my life did I ever think I'd see my own country, act in this completely, un American fashion....and not just with waxed over cold cruelty, but taking pleasure in it. Or grabbing them at Court trying to follow our rules on seeking asylum.... I ask myself, WWJD?

Obama deported in the same time period as Trump, deported more immigrants, without the reality tv drama with a FOX News camera man following them so they capture the cruelest treatment and get it on the news that night.

Why oh why do you have to do it this way? And why did Trump have to LIE ABOUT IT, to the American people and claim it was only the worst of the worst gang members and criminals he was deporting, when from the get go, it was mostly just law abiding hard working illegals, with families?

People from both sides were fine with him deporting the bad, violent criminal immigrants as he said he would do.

He said he'd deport all of them. Not just the violent criminal illegal aliens.

The jack boot, masked, unmarked car method of throwing immigrants to the ground then whisking off the street, immigrants who are not the violent criminals or gang members, without a chance to even say goodbye to their kids or wife and make some needed arrangements for them

It's awful! Literally the worst.
I hope the rest can make arrangements to return home on their own.
Before they get grabbed and deported.

And it is too Gestapo like or Soviet like, which never in my life did I ever think I'd see my own country, act in this completely, un American fashion....

You can't deport Biden's 15 million illegal aliens without breaking some eggs, eh comrade?

Or grabbing them at Court trying to follow our rules on seeking asylum....

If only they had followed our rules, instead of breaking into our country.

Obama deported in the same time period as Trump

Bullshit.

claim it was only the worst of the worst gang members and criminals he was deporting,

Link?

On the recent entries, the law, our government, let them in to seek asylum in Court....reneging after our country gave them the chance to seek asylum based on certain criteria ...in an Immigration court, and given them court dates for such, should not be deported before their court hearing...if the judge denies them asylum in court, then they should be deported.

Trump should have honored the chance they were given on seeking asylum by the United States when they sought initial refuge...imo.

Trump's E/O changing asylum opportunities should not have been retro active, but should have been for , going forward.

On the recent entries, the law, our government, let them in to seek asylum in Court...

Yeah, the Biden administration let them flood in and tried to let them stay,
even though they clearly didn't qualify.

reneging after our country gave them the chance to seek asylum based on certain criteria ...in an Immigration court, and given them court dates for such,

Biden changed the rules to let them in; Trump changed them back to get them out.

should not be deported before their court hearing...if the judge denies them asylum in court, then they should be deported.

Sorry, they no longer qualify.

Trump should have honored the chance they were given on seeking asylum by the United States when they sought initial refuge...imo.

Nah.

Um, no.
It's because he is an ignorant, incurious, entitled, dishonest, corrupt, felonious, anti-American, grifting, bankrupted, incompetent, wanna- be fascist pig who speaks like a toddler and makes us a continual laughing stock of the entire world.
Anymore stupid questions?

And then he beat the most qualified candidate in history.

How enlightening and original. Back under your rock you go.

But this is Trump's FBI now with Patel running the show? Why?
Regardless, thing's will have to change with the FBI protocol and our ways at looking at this stuff if truly going to get a handle on it.

Can't keep stressing it enough.

Gee, it sounds like when a POTUS declared an entire political party domestic terrorists or a presidential candidate stated that half of Americans and most of the inland states are a basket of deplorables. I'm sure you jumped for joy when those statements were made. Trump is doing the most requested action during the campaign: stop illegal immigration and get the illegal immigrants out of the country. That is what the majority of Americans want. Now, since you HATE your POTUS and everything he does, and you obviously hate this country and its people, why not emigrate to Cuba or Venezuela? They all hate Trump, America and Americans and you will fit right in.

The fact that you value loyalty to a politician more then friendship say nothing about them but everything about you.

Most of my in-law family are Republicans. It wouldn't even occur to me to not consider them friends because of it.
I went several years before I would call this a cult. I thought the term was hyperbolic.

But above and beyond all the other evidence, this was the issue that changed my mind -- when it began splitting up marriages, families, friendships and even CHURCHES.

These people CHOSE. That's when it became clear.

Well what I kind of think is weird is that this is only being halfheartedly denied by most of them, if at all.

Which I think is significant from a sociological standpoint.

Most people balk at the idea that they're in a cult. But this has become so powerful a movement that they don't.

I suspect because they are proud of their ideological purity, so that the accusation of it being cult like is something to be proud off.

This is exactly how I've looked at this whole thing since Day One. This has never been about him, and it's never even been about politics specifically.

For these people to just write off and/or re-prioritize so much in their lives (family, friendships, religion), they had to be driven to a place of real rage and hopelessness. Personally, I think it has much to do with the "media" voices they have chosen to trust. It began with Limbaugh and snowballed from there.

This is far beyond politics now. It's gone much deeper -- cultural, sociological. That's a profoundly bigger and deeper issue.

It's media. Social media, and at the base of it the feeling that the country slipping away from them I think. Fueled by income inequality, Wich those mediums have put at the feet of immigrants.

The reality of course is much more complex. But most people don't have the time or inclination to examine complex problems.

Look Mac, Identity Politics made politics a central tenet in every leftist's life and completely polarized the country based on politics. Identity Politics causes half the country to vehemently hate the other half just for their political beliefs. If you're not a democrap you are a racist and a fascist. And at the onset of Identity Politics the two parties operated essentially as a uniparty. The only difference between the two was the dangerous rhetoric employed to get the people to vote for one of the two uniparties. The media amplified Identity Politics and here we are. Now, the right have moved very close to the center, and all we need is for the left to move back close to the center. When we see the politicians from both sides acting like civil people, the people will follow suit. All we need to do is abandon Identity Politics and go back to choosing our politicians based on track record and policies.

I don't disagree. Your post is civil and reasonable, so let me respond.

The first few years I was on this board, I was called a right winger by the lefties because I constantly posted about the counter-productive nature of PC and Identity Politics. I'm about as close to being a freedom of expression purist as you can get, and their weaponization of this crap flew right in the face of it. It divides, it separates, it aggravates. I get it. And it also played a significant role in the rise of Trump and MAGA. If I had the motivation -- and I no longer do -- I could pull up thousands of my posts arguing ALL of that. And warnings that it was cause a big pushback. I was right.

We were in desperate need of change. But to make this as mercifully short as possible, the pushback has been no better than the problem it wanted to solve. In my opinion. It has created an all-new set of possibly more dangerous problems.

From my sig: Fact: I'm not ideological. My disagreement may not be about what you're trying to accomplish. It may just be about the way you're trying to accomplish it.

You seriously still don't understand? It is so simple:
  1. Trump survives because he actually gets real with people. With Trump, there is no "public face" like Hillary used to do looking all chipper for the camera then screaming and throwing things like a tyrant when the doors are closed. Trump is who Trump is, when you see him, when you don't see him--- who he is and what he thinks is worn plainly on his face 24/7.
  2. Trump never made fun of handicapped people. Trump was making fun of someone, someone who had it coming--- the context of which no longer even matters.
His childishness, stupidity and his arrogance.

I was an engineer and I still tend to look at things like a system. The government operates as a system, but few people actually understand the energy source that drives the system. Big Money sits right in the middle of the DC Swamp and gives out a shit ton of money to the powerful politicians to get their required legislation and policy. The two parties are locked in a death brawl for the lion's share of the swamp. To get control of the swamp they must convince the voters to vote for them. That created Identity Politics and later MAGA. But Identity Politics and MAGA aren't about the people as much as it is about getting control of the swamp. The people really don't matter. So, we the people need to get Big Money out of DC and out of government completely. We need to actually put down our guns and work together to accomplish this. Now you know why the government keeps us completely polarized. Until people like you and everyone else on this board figure this out, all we can do all day is stay on our side and demonize the other side for the benefit of our side's politicians who really don't give a damn about we the people. In summary, in layman's terms, we the people are ******* ourselves up the ass sideways with all this political BS. I think the right may be ready to stop this, is the left?

I don't know what the Left is ready to do, but I surely don't see the Right making the slightest effort here. And that starts at the very top, with a leader who admits he hates his opposition and attacks them multiple times a day. It has to start there. What better and more appropriate place to start than the White House, with a President who can rise above the hatred from both ends instead of enflaming it?

Biden didn't do it. Obama didn't do it. Here is Trump's chance.

I'm seeing no indication that either end (end, not side) is willing to communicate, collaborate and innovate. None. Zero. Left or Right.

We the People, across the political spectrum, clearly don't care enough to change a political/electoral system awash in cash that incentivizes and rewards the very worst behaviors of its participants.

The politicians don't want the system to change, and I think by now Trump doesn't either. It's up to the people at this point. My take is that the people on the left are still thoroughly in love with the federal government and are very pro-establishment, especially when the left is in control of the swamp. But, the people on the right really don't trust the federal government and are not pro-establishment, and might still be anti-establishment. Convincing the right might not be as hard as convincing the left. That is why I think the left is the bigger problem at the moment. And no, I am not a Trumpster, I was all set to vote for Sanders in 2016 and never voted for Trump. I stopped voting completely when I saw the DNC steal the primary for Clinton and knew the whole system was rigged.

Convincing the right might not be as hard as convincing the left.
Given the condition of the Democratic Party right now, that may be true.

And there is one (1) individual on the planet with the popularity, power and influence to change the tone of this whole mess overnight. This morning, if he wanted to. He could be the hero, he could drastically lower the temperature and turn this whole thing around by being the adult in the room, rising above the fray and changing his approach.

Right now.

We both know who that is.

He might have done that in 2017, but the vicious attacks immediately started with the left going absolutely apeshit trying to destroy him. Do you remember the Russia Hoax? Do you remember the first impeachment, which was for something Biden previously bragged about? The attacks were merciless and continuous. Then Trump was blamed for J6 when he clearly did not instruct the people to riot and even told them to be peaceful. And he was impeached again for that! Then came 3 years of vicious lawfare. Then 2 assassination attempts. I don't think anyone on the planet could endure that and be willing to forgive the left. Now Trump is hellbent on revenge. I can't really blame him. But, OTOH, maybe Schumer and Jeffries could extend an olive branch? What are the chances of that? Forget it, the federal government has 2 warring factions and both really don't give a shit about the people. The real question is, do the people actually give a shit about We The People? Or has the effort of the federal government to completely divide We The People into 2 warring factions succeeded? Maybe the left really does want a civil war? Last question: Do people really want to live in a country destroying itself from the inside while its politicians and their benefactors (Big Money) are the only one benefitting and getting richer?
