Yep....Mark Warner was a very good Governor in a Blue Dog dem type of way. As far as i know his popularity was always in the high 70s and he was elected to the US Senate in a landslide. Hell, I even voted for him.

Just for fun, a little research on the Telecommunications Act of 1996 yields a lot of information on how corporate news media flipped from being pro-GOP up until the early 90's to solidly behind the dumocrap party. To really understand the flip you need to follow the money behind corporate media at the time. The take home message I got was the investment banker class wanted the Telecommunications Act for a long time and the GOP wouldn't give it to them. Bill Clinton did. It made a lot of people really rich and they began to see the dumocraps as better investments to get what they want. From that point on corporate news media was all about the money, and it came from being pro-dumocrap. The bottom line: dumocraps corrupt everything they touch.
