What if the NBA had single elimination playoffs?

Should the NBA use a best of one format for the playoffs?

I'd cut it down to 5.

For those who may bet NBA games "live", the more games the better. More fun, more chance to win. Patterns become more apparent.

I play a lot of $5-$10 bets on points over-under. I want games on TV every night. You can create some parlays, but FanDuel does not have many good parlay options NBA.

NCAAB is also fun.

The refs are completely in the tank for GS tonight. Ruining the game

Is anyone upset with the 2 game 7’s we are getting in the west?

They stopped the 2-3-2 format years ago.
I never understood it when they had it..

It did give us a great story though...

It seemed that Pat Riley would end up coaching a few of the Game 6’s where he was up 3-2 and playing in the other team’s gym. He would do his pre-game talk and the ever fashionable Riles would tell the team, “I brought one suit.” Riles would never buy off the rack so he would have to send to have his suit brought out to him for a game 7.

Anyway... one year Byron Scott (I think it was) was the studio analyst and he was asked what type of pre-game talk Riles would give. Scott relayed the one-suit story. Well, Riley’s team won the championship on that broadcast and after the game, they were talking to one of the players after they got the trophy...”Coach said he brought only one suit....” was in the interview.
