August 2008:
Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius is on the short list as a potential Obama running mate. The media is speculating about her credentials and what her plusses to an Obama campaign. The obvious is she's a woman, and so very many believe that will help pacify the fractured Democratic party, suffering the seemingly endless battle between Hillary Clinton supporters and Obama supporters. She's also a popular democratic governor in a traditionally Republican state, and is often cited as a potential candidate in future elections
March 2009:
As reported by the AP, Governor Sebelius Sebelius is the latest of the President Obama cabonet nominees with tax troubles, and had just paid $7,000 in back taxes.
How many does this make now? Wouldn't you think that someone who was on "the short list" as a VP prospect would have already been vetted? Is this an example of judgment, listening, learning?
