I seem to remember not so long ago that the Democrats were always about unions, and “workers rights”. That employees had a right to stand up against the big corporations that employed them. Honestly it was always the one thing that I admired and liked about the Democratic Party, and conversely I always hated how Republicans always kissed the asses of corporations and favored mass illegal immigration to appease their corporate masters.

Now the Democrats/lefties are just pathetic shills for big corporations. They are literally cheering for big corporations to force their employees to get vaccinated against their will with experimental vaccines made by Big Pharma corporations that are immune to any liability. Are employees now just livestock owned by corporations?

Can any so called liberal explain this?

I'm part of a Union.
What is your job?

Fair question, even if retired, what was.........the job.

[Preface: Sometimes I do identify as a liberal, on many arguments, though mostly independent]

Any "vaccinations" in the past, historically, it was the "left" that opposed mandatory vaccines.

I guess it must be perceived as being politically pragmatic by them: whatever the conservatives don't want, they must be in favor of. Just because. Even though more level, math and science based, heads are saying "whoa, wait a minute, have these things really been proven to be safe and effective yet?".

Once again, left/liberal positions are based on whimsical and emotionally based arguments.

The right killed most of the unions. Right to work states hurt more than anything else I can think of.

Concern for workers rights would make one a "socialist"???

The last I checked, workers (I was one until I retired), already have workers rights.
1. Norris-LaGuardia Act (1932).
2. National Labor Relations Act (1935).
3. Fair Labor Standards Act (1938).
4. Taft-Hartley Act (1947).
5. Labor Management Reporting and Disclosure Act (1959).
6. Title VII of the Civil Rights Act (1964).
7. Age Discrimination in Employment Act (1967).
8. Occupational Safety and Health Act (1970).
9. Family and Medical Leave Act (1993).
10. Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act (2013).
All 10 involve workers rights.
If you are one of those individuals that march around complaining that you want equal pay.....well......equal pay to what?
If you mean that a full-time burger flipper in Burger King should get equal pay as someone flipping burgers working in a McDonalds or similar large chain outfit, I agree, except for those that flip burgers for some little mom & pop burger joint. They don't bring in near as much money and can't afford to pay the same, without charging much more for their burgers, unless they want to go out of business.
However, if you are one of those loons that believe a burger flipper should be paid equally to that of a highly-skilled, educated and trained surgeon, absolutely not.
The same goes for those working on the factory lines. You should be paid the same as other factory line workers in the same type of business.

It was always a lie. Just like they say they are for minorities…

Because, safety of employees is a right.
You should be able to work with as much protection from dangers as possible.
Customers should be able to shop, eat and drink in safety.

'They are literally cheering for big corporations to force their employees to get vaccinated'
So, if you want a construction job, you are 'forced' to wear safety glasses, hard hat, work boots and obey safety rules.
It's your 'right' not to wear them but not on a construction site, your 'right' is gone.
Employers don't run democracies.

World wide aspirations. Too big to think of individual rights. Just like anything else that grows too big to be concerned with "a few" when they are after the collective. Big unions like big business now.

Just think they are "empowering workers" while "looking out for the workers best interest".

Well, I think workplace safety is a good thing, just as medical privacy is a right. So, let’s see how the woke businesses fair when they have no employees.

Republicans in general hate workers. Now we see them crying they can't find them. They believe if a job is vacant someone needs to be doing it even if it's low paying. An outright disdain for people. And here they sit on the hardest working greatest workforce walking the earth. Irony. Karma.

On the other hand
Democrats say they are for them but their actions don't show it. They don't care either.

Medical privacy isn't a 'right', not in the workplace.
You still seem to think companies run a democracy.
If you apply for a job running a table saw, the employer has every right to ask you to see you what your vision is.
An employer has every right to ask you if you're a diabetic.

Tyson is not an attractive place to work hence they can't find workers. That's strictly on the company itself.

And you have the right to refuse to divulge. Walk out and find a different job.

I never said anything about equal pay.

But I don’t believe corporations have the right to take away freedoms of their employees. Vaccine mandate is one example, but another is the fact that corporations actively monitor employees social media accounts and will punish them if they say something they don’t like. Like the NBA telling owners/players they aren’t allowed to support pro democracy protests in Hong Kong.
