The leaders of China and Russia are not obsessively talking about annexing Greenland. Only one world leader is doing thatStatus quo okay with me, so long as Russia and China keep out.
That remains to be seen, particularly the CCP.The leaders of China and Russia are not obsessively talking about annexing Greenland. Only one world leader is doing that
You can say that about literally any person on earthThat remains to be seen, particularly the CCP.

I just saw an interesting idea in an overseas discussion: Just dissolve NATO and create a kind of "League of Democracies", that includes countries like Canada, Scandanavia, Europe, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand.More lies.
Our treaty with Greenland requires that we defend them, not attack them. Membership in NATO requires NATO to defend them. Our defense treaty with Greenland gives the US the right to unfettered access for defense of Greenland or NATO countries. Thus there is no reason why the US needs own Greenland to defend it.
Trump wants Greenland for only one reason and it is not to defend it. It's Greenland's minerals. Since Denmark will not sell, he will take it by force. This is so Trump. What he can not buy, he steals. No wonder he has so much respect for Putin. They are birds of a feather.
It is the NATO Countries of Finland, Sweden, Norway, and Demark who have ports in the Baltic and land in Artic that are most responsible for monitoring military vessels in the Artic, not the US who is 1500 miles from the Eastern Arctic Ocean.
Over the Arctic from the north coast of Greenland is over 3000 miles to Russia and over 5,000 miles to China. Nothing is really close across the Arctic Ocean. To safely travel by ship in the Arctic means following seal lanes which makes travel in slower.Look at it the other way: Greenland makes Russia and China's worst enemy even stronger. And it puts the USA's sphere of influence within close reach right over the Arctic Sea--- interestingly enough, within hopping range of the USA to Europe as well--- and our "buddies" are cringing.
Brilliant, Mr. President, Sir.
Imagine that, an actual leader with ambition for his country.
Over the Arctic from the north coast of Greenland is over 3000 miles to Russia and over 5,000 miles to China. Nothing is really close across the Arctic Ocean. To safely travel by ship in the Arctic means following seal lanes which makes travel even slower.
There's a few on this board that believe in this Russian/China bizarre threat.Simply because there is neither a Russian nor Chinese threat to Greenland. If there were, we would have more than just an early warning base there. The sea lanes are patrolled by US subs, monitored by land base radar and satellites.
Regional alliances work better than global alliance because neighboring countries are more likely to come the aid of their neighbors than nations 5,000 miles a way. Most alliances are formed to protect a group of nations from a common enemy.I just saw an interesting idea in an overseas discussion: Just dissolve NATO and create a kind of "League of Democracies", that includes countries like Canada, Scandanavia, Europe, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand.
If Russia, America and China want to divide the world into thirds, they'd have to settle for quarters.
Try again. It is 3000 miles from centroid to centroid. Only (less than) 600 miles from nearest coast to coast.Over the Arctic from the north coast of Greenland is over 3000 miles to Russia
Except the Russian Federation and Northernmost Scandinavian Europe.Nothing is really close across the Arctic Ocean.
Yeah, that's it, military vessels on their way to conquer a country are always worried about traveling safely. To safely travel by ship in the Arctic
