We have NATO and Article 5. And Denmark isn't alone; they have 31 NATO partners—that's what NATO is for. And the US isn't the only entity in NATO; talk to US generals, and they'll try to explain that to you.

LOL. Yes they will explain it. They say "the US is the steel spine of NATO". Other NATO countries currently have shadow militaries. Hopefully by spending 5% of GDP they can develop reasonably powerful militaries.

I've heard different things from them. Especially regarding the strategic necessity of NATO. And the US only spends 3.5% of its gross domestic product, not 5%. And yes, the US is NATO's largest pillar. After all, it's the size of a continent, not Luxembourg.

The 1951 Defense of Greenland Treaty between the U.S. and Denmark grants the U.S. broad rights to establish and operate military bases, including constructing new ones as well as housing troops there indefinitely.

Trump can cover the whole northern coast of Greenland with military bases if he so chooses. His claim that we need Greenland for national security is a bold face lie just like his claim that we invade Venezuela to stop illegal drugs from entering the US. Either he is as dumb as brick or considers the American people to be.
