Zone1 What does The Chosen People actually mean?

You have to be chosen for something. They were chosen to enter into a covenant with G-d.
Logic says there will be a reason for choosing someone for something. That reason was that they had a strong oral tradition of passing down knowledge, information and history. At the center of the covenant are laws. It was the keeping of those laws which set them apart from their contemporaries. See Leviticus 18 where they were told to not do as they did in Egypt.

So you’re saying that the NT tells Christians to stay away from Jews?

(Also, I don’t consider myself an unbeliever. Those would be atheists.)
Christians can coexist with Jews but not on religious matters, such as the divinity of Christ.

There’s no such thing as “co-existing on religious matters”. You mean “agreeing.” Christians and Jews do not AGREE on whether Jesus was divine.

For jwoodie as to what is the "chosen people."

Somebody tell him for me, since I don't know him, he will know when he is chosen.

There is much disagreement between Jews and gentiles, therefore coexist is the better term.

coexistence for what otherwise can not be proven by either judaism or christianity an involvement from the heavens they claim as the basis for their divergent beliefs.

Neither belief can be disproven, simply disagreed.

Christ fulfilled the law. And gave us a new, better covenant. His Divine Law is, Love one another and your Father.
Or else be tortured by Jesus in Hell 24/7/365 forever and ever and ever! Right?

Actually, I think most Jews already observe the laws of separation from gentiles. I know little about Judaism's belief regarding the messiah.
I'm still not sure what "separation" you mean.
