Actually, I think most Jews already observe the laws of separation from gentiles. I know little about Judaism's belief regarding the messiah.

They would understand it immediately. It's common Biblical knowledge among us gentiles. In the OT it was given to Israel, in the NT the same rules of separation are given to the church, "Don't be yoked with unbelievers" and "Come out of her (the world)".
