"they think" not "they are".
We’re all now very clear how you feel about Jews. No reason to attempt to backpedal.

"they think" not "they are".
I feel the same about all religious whack-jobs.We’re all now very clear how you feel about Jews. No reason to attempt to backpedal.
Was it a special covenant with God that excluded all other people?
You might want to include in your speculations the fact that unlike the first three gospels in the gospel of John the only mention of eating flesh and drinking blood was before the last supper which he explained was a metaphor for his teaching, Words, but during the last supper the only person given bread dipped in wine was Judas, as a way to identify his betrayer to the others, and "as soon as Judas received the bread, SATAN entered him." John 13:27. This is no small point. He told His disciples to remember Him when they broke bread and drank the wine. We have replaced that with saying grace before we break bread. We need to remember Him and the sacrifice He made to offer us a new covenant. A piece of toast and a cup of coffee will suffice, as long as the point is remembering Him and His sacrifice.
You might not realize this but to Jesus, his disciples, followers, and authors of the gospels who witnessed the destruction of Judea, their way of life and the enslavement exile and slaughter of hundreds of thousands of Jewish men women and children "the nations" were the enemy. When Jesus came he taught that he was come only to those of the house of Israel. Later after Jesus' ministry, the gospel was to go unto the Gentiles. Thus the saying, 'to the Jew first and then to the Gentile'.

"I have not come to bring peace but a sword" "From his mouth there went a sharp sword with which to smite the nations" "Take this cup of wine and drink it, all of you. This is a cup of my blood, the blood of the covenant"
"Take from my hand this cup of fiery wine and make all the nations to whom I send you drink it. When they have drunk it they will vomit and go mad; such is the sword that I am sending among them" (the sword is clearly identified as a curse under the appearance of a cup of wine)
“Then tell them, ‘This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Drink, get drunk and vomit, and fall to rise no more because of the sword I will send among you.’ But if they refuse to take the cup from your hand and drink, tell them, ‘This is what the Lord Almighty says: You must drink it! See, I am beginning to bring disaster on the city that bears my Name, and will you indeed go unpunished? You will not go unpunished, for I am calling down a sword on all who live on the earth, declares the Lord Almighty.’
"Just art thou, in these thy judgments, thou Holy One who art and wast; for they shed the blood of thy people and of thy prophets and thou hast given them blood to drink.
Incorrect. You aren't the first person to be shocked by Jesus' command to eat his flesh and drink his blood. He lost a lot of disciples over that command. You might want to include in your speculations the fact that unlike the first three gospels in the gospel of John the only mention of eating flesh and drinking blood was before the last supper which he explained was a metaphor for his teaching, Words, but during the last supper the only person given bread dipped in wine was Judas, as a way to identify his betrayer to the others, and "as soon as Judas received the bread, SATAN entered him." They were just the first to follow God's ways as a people. They had a strong tradition of recording history and information in the form of stories and passing them down orally to the next generation and did so for thousands of years. And through this process they developed a close relationship with God. There's nothing magical about this. They were chosen by God and given the Law as "a light to the nations" to make his name known in the world. It is important to note that according to scripture they were not chosen because of any merit of their own. They were chosen for this specific task simply because God loved them.
Incorrect. They were codified standards of their people. The Chapters on laws are to be read literally. Your interpretations are arbitrary and capricious and bear no resemblance to reality. Many of the Laws reflect the contemporary concerns of unknown authors over thousands of years. That being said, the death, a curse consequent to defying the Law, is not physical in nature
Prove it. Because standards of conduct - which is what those 613 commands were - exist as the bar for how they strove to behave. There's no magic involved here. There's no divinity involved here. Standards exist into and of themselves. Standards are independent of man. Standards are discovered because error cannot stand, eventually it fails. Thus, revealing the logical reason for why the standard existed in the first place. Standards can be discovered through the light of human reason. You shouldn't need God to tell you you shouldn't be butt fucking other men. There was never any human element necessary to either judge or enforce the Divine commands. They apply to all people on earth for good or evil, just like cause and effect, whatever they believe
Surely you don't believe that was the case, do you?Why did God love them more than others?
That's a poor choice of words. Pretending implies they knew better. The reality is that they had embraced the form of religion instead of the Spirit of God.Right. They were pretending to "see", understand the Law.
"If you were blind you would not be guilty of sin but because you say, "We see" your guilt remains"
It was a human real world codified law that was very rarely - if ever - enforced. There was nothing divine or magical about it.Yes. It is a violation of Divine Law under penalty of death, to eat the flesh of unclean creatures THAT DO NOT RUMINATE. If you do you will become an unclean creature that cannot ruminate.
Because there was nothing divine about it.It doesn't matter who you are, whether Jewish or Gentile, a believer or an atheist, rich or poor, young or old, male or female, healthy or unhealthy, cop or criminal, gay or straight or otherwise.
This is exactly what I would expect a religious nutjob would say when attacking a rival religion. If you don't believe me ask ding who prides himself on "just believing" in the ridiculous (without thinking) a rational question. He will be more than happy to demonstrate for everyone with eyes the terrifying and deeply disturbing death consequent for setting the Divine commands aside.
all of Israel will be saved.
I bear the great seal of the living God. Prophecy fulfilled.
every time you defy the law of my God
I can't see the good in doing what has been forbidden by my God.
you act like you can escape the hand of my God in this world or the next
You brazenly defy the Law that prohibits idolatry...
You are already dead, in hell, and well along the way that leads to endless destruction.
I always do exactly as God commands. I am keystone in the Yahad of God; the habitation of light. No one else in heaven, on earth, or under the earth, can do what I have already done...
You are in hell under the dominion, care, of a spirit of perversity.
You have sold your soul for the satanic lie, a promise that you will receive eternal life when you die physically after living for your entire life like a schnook by doing exactly what the Bible teaches results in death hell and ultimately destruction.
You have set aside the Law of God...
you are an idolator...
I am creating a new heaven and a new earth in full view of all believers and unbelievers alike
I met them. They are not human but they liked me enough to let me fly one of their craft all over the universe. The next day on the front page of the newspaper were reports of a UFO over my city.
I can tell you this, zooming out of this solar system through space and time and popping into another instantly and coming back instantly is a trip!
Incorrect.By saying "eat my flesh" Jesus was teaching that the subject of kosher law is not food and never was.
Not to me. The enlightened ones give all credit to God.It's not what it means but how it is "perceived" to mean. To a Jew it's heady stuff and hard to dismiss. To a Gentile it means Gentiles are lesser. Fighting words and retaliation is in order.
Before Jesus, yes. They were the founders of monotheism.Surely you don't believe that was the case, do you?
