What do you want to see when President Trump visits East Palestine?

I see. Our government does not have inspectors

If government regulates transportation, there are levels of accountability; otherwise, why do we need a Secretary of Transportation? In fact, the Secretary of Transportation is responsible for overseeing transportation policy and standards conducted by various federal agencies in the US Department of Transportation.

The Department of Transportation operates the railroad administration at the federal level and regulates the standards and safety protocols for the US railways. Sorry .. the railway may have been irresponsible, and the Department of Transportation is accountable and Buttigieg has done nothing but place false blame on the Trump administration.

Guess you guys didn't know that Trump in his zeal to get rid of regulations, got rid of some of the very regulations that would have lessened or prevented this accident.

Then came 2017: After rail industry donors delivered more than $6 million to GOP campaigns, the Trump administration — backed by rail lobbyists and Senate Republicans — rescinded part of that rule aimed at making better braking systems widespread on the nation’s rails.

Specifically, regulators killed provisions requiring rail cars carrying hazardous flammable materials to be equipped with electronic braking systems to stop trains more quickly than conventional air brakes. Norfolk Southern had previously touted the new technology — known as Electronically Controlled Pneumatic (ECP) brakes — for its “potential to reduce train stopping distances by as much as 60 percent over conventional air brake systems.”

So, while the government DID try to regulate and oversee the safety of rail lines, lobbyists did their thing and appealed to the right persons (Trump and his administration) to get those regs repealed, resulting in accidents like E. Palestine.

The guy who won?

So in other words, if your party ran Vladimir Putin and he cheated badly, got away with it due to a highly flawed and corrupt election and court system and won too, you'd support him as your party platform leader and a winner. All you see is the winning.

Defending Joe Biden is like defending a skin disease.

I guess everyone raped, mugged, or murdered by an illegal alien is on Biden then.

I'd like to see Whopper of a myocardial infarction. Or is that a Big Mac Heart Attack?

My party? Which is my party?

The folks who try and pass this false narrative off are corrupt to the core and do not have the best interest of the country in mind when they parrot it.

False narrative? Who the hell do you think you are kidding? The public record is replete with judges of every stature with political bias, that is the only kind of judges the left choose, and the election has been flawed from the very beginning, so bad that in 2005, they even tried to address it, but was too corrupted for anyone to actually doing anything about it.

So I guess Jimmy Carter is corrupt too without the nation's best interest!

Fort Worth, Texas; Crosby Texas...
Crosby was in 2021

and the fort worth one in 2019 didn’t have hazardous materials like on Ohio..but the feds did respond it was cause by heavy flooding

Would the former President visit this region if 71% of the voters there voted for President Biden?
Yes I think he would, and then so much for 71% for Joe!!! But hey; it's only a BLUE COLLAR AREA; not Biden's concern!!!

Letter from Jimmy Carter and James A. Baker, III

As co-chairs of the 2005 bipartisan Commission on Federal Election Reform, we wrote an introductory letter for its report that opened with this simple statement: “Elections are the heart of democracy.” If the elections Americans use to select our leaders are defective, we continued, democracy is in danger.

At that time, many citizens were losing confidence in the fairness of elections, and we thought it was important that Democrats and Republicans come together to develop solutions to remedy key problems in our electoral system. Although there was inevitable disagreement about a few recommendations, the commission delivered a consensus report endorsed by all members. We all agreed that election reform could help transcend what we viewed as a sterile debate between integrity and ballot access.

Public confidence in our elections continues to wane, and the risk to our democracy is greater than ever. Losing candidates accuse their opponents of cheating rather than accepting results, congratulating their opponent, and acknowledging that perhaps they didn’t campaign effectively enough to win. So-called electoral reforms too often aim to give political advantage to one side or the other rather than to fix problems. It is important to remember, however, that not everything Republicans propose is voter suppression and not everything Democrats propose makes fraud easier.

More worrisome is the lack of comity among elected leaders that prevents them from reaching agreements needed to move our country forward.
Too many prefer blaming others for our national problems rather than working together to find solutions.

As fir Mr. Trump he should go there he should get really close with Working class people in east Palestine … he should put his arms around one of the citizens of East Palestine and say “you know it’s gonna be OK we’re gonna get through this together”
Trump has no empathy gene. He will go there and make the trail derailment all about him.

Telling them, that only he could fix it.
