Zone1 what do you know and think of the Bahai?

I think the Bahai religion has many good sides.

one disadvantage is that you may not have any alcohol, not even in cakes or chocolates

It sounds like some kind of woke interfaith nonsense to me.

AI Overview

The Baháʼí Faith is a modern religion founded by Baháʼu'lláh in 19th-century Iran that emphasizes the unity of God, the unity of humanity, and the unity of religion. Its core tenets include the equality of men and women, the harmony of science and religion, and the elimination of all forms of prejudice. Baháʼís believe that all major world religions come from the same God and that each faith is a progressive stage in God's plan for humanity.

  • Oneness of God: A belief in one God who is the source of all existence.
  • Unity of humanity: The belief that humanity is one single family and that racial, religious, and class prejudices should be eliminated.
  • Unity of religion: The belief that all major world religions are part of one continuous divine plan, revealed through different prophets or "Manifestations of God," such as Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad. Baháʼu'lláh is considered the Manifestation for the current age.
  • Progressive revelation: The idea that the teachings of each Manifestation of God are adapted to the needs of the time and that revelation is ongoing.
  • Equality of men and women: A principle that men and women are equal in God's eyes, likening them to the two wings of a bird that must be balanced for flight.
  • Harmony of science and religion: The belief that these two are not in conflict and both are paths to understanding truth.
  • Independent investigation of truth: The idea that each individual has the right and ability to seek out truth for themselves.
  • Democratic leadership: The faith has no clergy and is instead guided by democratically elected councils, with the highest authority being the Universal House of Justice.

equality of men and women is one of the good points

But men and women are not the same. Once you start believing they are the same, you lose the ability to discern the difference between them. Then you have men who think they're women, and likewise, women who think they're men.

Why is not having alcohol a disadvantage? Here's a list of advantages of not consuming alcohol:

Physical Health Benefits
  • Improved Sleep: Abstaining from alcohol leads to better sleep quality and duration, as alcohol disrupts the important rapid eye movement (REM) stage of sleep.
  • Weight Loss: Alcoholic drinks contain "empty" calories and can increase appetite. Quitting can lead to a reduced calorie intake and potential weight loss.
  • Better Hydration and Skin: Alcohol is a diuretic, causing dehydration that can lead to dull, dry, and inflamed skin. Abstinence results in better hydration, a clearer complexion, and reduced puffiness.
  • Enhanced Liver Function: The liver can begin to shed excess fat and repair mild damage within weeks of stopping drinking.
  • Lower Blood Pressure: Not drinking, even for a short period, can lower your blood pressure, which is a major risk factor for heart disease and stroke.
    • Stronger Immune System: Alcohol weakens the immune system's ability to fight off infections. Quitting helps your body produce enough white blood cells and makes you less vulnerable to illnesses.
    • Reduced Risk of Chronic Disease: Long-term abstinence lowers the risk of developing serious conditions, including high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, liver disease (like cirrhosis), and several types of cancer (mouth, throat, liver, breast, and colon).

Mental and Emotional Benefits
  • Improved Mood and Energy: Regular drinking interferes with brain chemicals and can worsen symptoms of anxiety and depression. Abstinence can lead to a more stable mood, less anxiety ("hangxiety"), increased energy levels, and improved concentration.
  • Better Cognitive Function: Improved hydration and the brain's recovery can lead to better memory, concentration, decision-making skills, and mental clarity.
  • Increased Self-Confidence: Successfully abstaining from alcohol, especially during a sobriety challenge, can provide a significant sense of achievement and self-confidence in managing future choices.

Lifestyle and Social Benefits
  • Improved Relationships: Abstinence can lead to more quality time with loved ones, fewer arguments, and opportunities to bond over new activities.
  • Increased Savings: Not buying alcohol can lead to significant financial savings over time.
  • More Productivity: With more energy and fewer hangovers, you may find yourself more productive at work or in your personal life.
  • New Experiences: Taking the focus off alcohol can open up opportunities to explore new hobbies, social activities, and routines that don't involve drinking.
If you are a heavy, regular drinker, it is important to consult a healthcare professional before quitting cold turkey, as withdrawal symptoms can be severe. Resources are available, such as the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) for support and information.

equality means just equal rights here
Equal rights as in??? The ERA Amendment was to speed up the transgender-Homosexual revolution. It had nothing to equal rights. Let me ask, when is the last time a naked female went into a male locker room full of males? Like, never.

once I have been to the Bahai Temple in Germany
They get people that like to theorize a lot and delve into the mysteries of God over simply obedience to the Laws, Ordinances and Commandments of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

In my opinion all adherents to the Bahai Religion who are living in Israel, are in an interesting position to become modern "Rechabites" in the sense that a high percentage of them could become actors and actresses, playing the role of "Bahai's" and they could act as diplomats between Jews, Christians, Muslims, Atheists, Hindus, Buddhists and every other branch of spirituality on this earth.

Some of the leaders of the Bahai religion should take a serious look at the courses offered at Brigham Young University in Jerusalem.

I don't worship anything at all at Bahai.
