What Constitutes a "Right?"

what does neg rep mean? I'm guessing negatively represent.

Negative reputation.
I'd explain, but that would be off-topic. ;)

it's your right to be off-topic just as it is mine to complain about such transgressions of forum etiquette. It's wonderful how these two rights do not conflict, isn't it?

In other words, you want the explanation even though it's not on topic? Just trying to be clear here.

Sure, but I still reserve the right to complain! And my potential complaint should in no way be seen as an infringement on your right to offer the off-topic explanation.

So you want me to spend my valuable time explaining something to you, but you also want to complain about me doing so?

I've had much better offers. :doubt:

I didn't say i wanted to complain about your explanation, I was just trying to stay on topic by reasserting my right.

I dunno. Seems it's my right to determine whether I want to supply the explanation or not, given the possibility exists I will be repaid for my effort, time and generosity with complaints.
Decisions, decisions.....:eusa_whistle:

rights are what you get when you make three lefts :D

actually, it's when you make the equivalent of 0 modulo 3 lefts or the identity element of the abelian group of order 3 (which is 0, but unlike natural numbers the group only has three elements).
