what comes to your mind if you think of Korea?

Kimchi is great.
Long as you don't smell it.
My friend's Chinese mom used to throw a dab on top of the Ramen noodles with egg.
It works. :dunno:
Actually my best friend's woman did that too, and kept the same type of gallon in the fridge.
And my other friend's wife. It's a thing.

I’m a notoriously picky eater. I like my food bland, honestly.

I also do not use condiments at all. No ketchup, no mustard, no mayonnaise, no sauces or salad dressings or gravy at all.

Sort of rules out most “ethnic” foods automatically
^What kinda titty baby shit is this? :auiqs.jpg:
No gravy? That would definitely reduce quality of life.
That's not a good look for an adult.
Pfft. I had 2 choices of what to eat for dinner: Eat what was made, or don't.
Dammit, there was liver and onions at least once a week. It was gravied, at least.

I saw an interesting documentary about people in Korea who bury their dead for a year or so and then take them up and clean their bones off and write things on them and then bury them again. (That's not necessarily always the first thing that would come to mind, it's just what it was today.) Otherwise I might think of spicy kung pao chicken cooked with peanuts or things like that. Or those really cool mountainous rednecky places that used to be depicted in the old M*A*S*H TV series, with the hot summers and cold winters.

And of course, my first rifle...a Chinese SKS...which is what our side's infantry would have usually dealt with when fighting over there.

And then of course I practiced tae kwon do for 3 years of my life as a kid. And Master Lee had his South Korean flag and other tokens, artifacts and mementos from his culture adorning his dojang.

Yep.

You are an idiot.

The Multiculties Wanted Unfortunate Sons to Identify with It So We'd Volunteer for the Next Asian War

It was a 1950s comic strip about a Korean orphan. I can't remember if I followed it or just noticed it.

I see nothing about that to encourage me or any American to want to fight in say, Ukraine or elsewhere.

Deciders' Design

It fits what happened. Whoever controls the mind controls the will. The fact that the media create a passive audience led to Americans becoming easy to manipulate.

You could have explained your reasoning. Instead you cut the shit out of my post and made an unsupported assertion.

Not very convincing.

Thank you for your service and sacrifice! I was adopted and came to the United States at age five from South Korea and became an American citizen at age five. I am forty-eight years old now and am forever grateful for all Americans who have served or are serving in the American military! Thank you very much!
👍👍👍

it may be North or South

whatever you choose

I think of the division
Cold weather training. Seeing all those half American orphins on a Thanksgiving and Christmas away from home.

Harsh climate and harsher realities.

Kimchi. Kimchi buried in the back yard. :dunno:
Mean step-parents. I know several people that had mean Korean stepmoms.
