what comes to your mind if you think of Korea?

it may be North or South

whatever you choose

I think of the division
Spent a year and 7 months in Korea serving in the Army. A few months in Daegue and the rest of the time at Yongsan. Loved it. The Itaewon district in Seoul is my second favorite place in the world.

If you pick up any school textbook in Korea or visit any museum, you would never know The Americans were even there. The South Koreans are taught they fought that war all by themselves.

I know that there are at least some South Koreans who are different than that.

Thank you for your service and sacrifice! I was adopted and came to the United States at age five from South Korea and became an American citizen at age five. I am forty-eight years old now and am forever grateful for all Americans who have served or are serving in the American military! Thank you very much!

I love Korea. Any who dislike it is a slumpf. Who cares? And don't even start with nazi race stuff.

Itaewon is/was known as the red light district in the 2000s’ when I was there. Korean co-workers laugh and make jokes about it.
