I am not sure fear is the correct word for it but Rats ,Frogs, Monkeys set my nerves on end and I want to kill them. Snakes are good I have a coach whip snake under my house and no rodent problems.

It's chimps and rats for me that terrify me out of this list. I like frogs though as I think that they're cute.

Mice will nest build at this time so if you start missing jewelry like necklaces or anything shiny it could be mice using it. My mom blamed my sisters for stealing hers and oned ay we were removing some items from the storage closet found a mouse nest and there they were all wrapped up in the mouse nest.

That's exactly why they scare me. Gorillas and other kinds of monkeys I think are actually pretty docile.

What Animal Scares You?​

Only the one who catches me unprepared for it. I used to take long treks through the remote countryside on my mountain bike on reclaimed railroad tracks converted to bike trails and always carried a pistol and a knife with me in my carry pouch under my bike seat.

Like West said, when confronted by something big enough to kill you, back away, keep your eyes on it, and make yourself look as big and mean as you can.

For the most part, I am not afraid. Of course, there are plenty of animals that I have never had any contact with before. I will say this though, I pray that I never have another encounter with bed begs because I dealt with them back in 2013 and they ate me alive. To me, they itch worse than mosquito bites do.

I've had pet rats, so they don't scare me.

I've encountered a lot of wild animals, and they don't scare me because they are more scared of me than I am of them. Wild animals scamper away.

I did have a humongous owl attack me once. Repeatedly. I have no idea why. Perhaps it had some young ones nesting nearby.

I'm the designated spider killer of the house. I've been woken up at two in the morning by my daughters to kill spiders no bigger than a damned quarter.

I do get a fear response with spiders just because they are so fricking ugly and I was bitten once by a spider which almost killed me. It was by pure chance I survived. God was looking out for me that day.

I caught the last spider in the house and put it in a mason jar and gave it to the daughter who had woken me up as a pet.

She was not amused.

I named him Bob.


I hear hippos are the meanest animals on Earth, but there is no chance I will ever encounter one in the wild. Hippos are my oldest daughter's favorite animal, though, ever since she was a toddler. I have taken her on a safari to see a couple up close.

I honestly can't think of any animals which scare the bejeesus out of me.

As a teen ager I had nightmares about Cape Buffalo
