So, now we know what trump is trying to do. We know what his aim is and how he plans to go about, either destroying or distorting, our government. The question is, "Will Democrats be willing to take on his ugly crusade or sit and, for the sake of the Union, allow it to continue. The latter choice, allowing it to continue, could lead to an America that is unrecognizable. The trump plan is simple and straight forward. The response is not.

Trumpism is fascism, both are ugly.

And it's not up to Democrats, the voters saw to that.

In fact, Trump voters are responsible for this disaster, the consequence of their fear, ignorance, stupidity, racism, bigotry, and hate.

I don't think the Dems have a chance in hell in effectively dealing with this. They have their own problems to fix. The fact that they lost to this person should motivate them to look in the mirror. Otherwise they have to hope for (a) a disaster and (b) that the GQP doesn't pervert the electoral system between now and 2026.

This has never been about Trump. It's NEVER about people like this. Look to history. One person can't do shit. It's about the people who ENABLE them. Look at the long list of craven, shameless, opportunistic Republicans who said the worst possible things about him, yet ended up bending over for him. One of those is his current Secretary of State. Another one of those is nominated to run our health care. Another one of those is his current fucking VICE PRESIDENT.

It's not about Trump, and the Dems can't do shit. The only thing that fixes this fucking travesty in the short term is some backbone in the GQP, and I'm sure as hell not holding my breath. They love those cushy gubmit jobs too much.

First, the FED has pretty much taken any further rate cuts off the table for the rest of the year. That is a flip from previous estimates of forthcoming rate cuts. It is those damn tariffs. Even the threat of them. Already driving up prices as the supply chain anticipates forthcoming tariffs.

The point about the tariff threat is very true. But try to explain that to the man/child. He thinks he can bully anyone he wants and there will be no repercussions. He thought he could bully the Fed into more rate cuts. He didn't.

When told that Trump had lost the election in 2020, Trump voters turned off Fox News. They will not hear anything which punctures their right wing bubble.

If more than half the nation is going to be defiantly and wilfully ignorant of reality, there’s little Democrats can do to end their delusions. Especially now that Trump has taken hold of all of their information systems, including Twitter and Facebook in addition to all of right wing media.

The first step in a dictatorship is to take over the media. The second step is to take over the courts.

Trump is currently working on the military. We’ll see how that goes.
