Westchester's district attorney shut down its criminal investigation into the Trump Organization this month.

• The DA opted not to bring any charges against the company or Donald Trump personally.
• Prosecutors examined tax records, also a subject of Manhattan DA and NY attorney general investigations.

In a rare bit of good legal news for Donald Trump, the Westchester County district attorney's office has ended a criminal investigation into the Trump Organization without bringing any charges, a person familiar with the investigation told Insider.
District Attorney Mimi Rocah closed the investigation earlier in June, the person said.
Elliott Jacobson, a special prosecutor hired by Rocah, departed the office in late 2022. He found that the evidence collected in the investigation couldn't support criminal charges, regarded conduct outside the statute of limitations, or overlapped with investigations underway by other law enforcement officials, according to the source, whose identity is known to Insider but who was not authorized to speak on the record.
Much of the material came under the jurisdiction of the New York attorney general's office. The district attorney's office can pursue only criminal cases, while the attorney general's office has the power to bring civil lawsuits.
New York Attorney General Letitia James brought a blockbuster civil lawsuit against the Trump Organization in September, which is scheduled to go to trial this October.
The district attorney's office in Westchester — a county north of New York City — opened the investigation two years ago. It examined whether the former president's family business illegally misled authorities about the value of the Trump National Golf Club Westchester to pay lower property taxes. For years leading up to the criminal investigation, the village of Ossining had been entangled in civil litigation with the club over the property's true value and appropriate tax bill, court records reviewed by Insider show.

I think that since this is about the American system of politics, the Democrats don't get a free ride anymore. I'm still not certain how accurate the voting system is going to be made correct and true. There's no way a basement-hiding derelict who breaks every requirement the Constitution won anything in the Land of the Free, not to mention the Founders' faithful courtesies to each other in the trust of God's goodness, I don't see how Biden could have won the election. I base my opinion on a forum that ran during the George w. Bush re-election bid in which I (for some reason) went on line one night when I couldn't sleep, and opened a thread that left me totally speechless as Democrat precinct chairmen in 5 or 6 states were comparing who voted the most times in the last election to enable Democrats to win a presidential election and more seats in the House to prevent Republicans from making laws that would correct the wrongs of the system for the next two years. One of the chairmen bragged that she voted 20 times for a Democrat. Another chairman said he quit counting how many times he voted after his 30th vote in the same election. It went on and on, and these people represent states I am not going to name, and one of them said she got her friends to vote several times too under different names like Peppermint Patty, Mickey Mouse, Yogi Bear, Daffy Duck, Daisey Mae, Beetle Bailey, Elmer Fudd, Charlie Brown, among other aliases.

I'm for driver's license with picture, eye scan or fingerprint proof at the poll. Even as toxic as some foreign leaders were said to be, at the polls in their country, the purple fingerprint on the ballot was their proof that the named voter was the same citizen he said he was. I think we are at that point of distrust that we need to assure people on both sides of the aisle that the vote was true, and not tossed out and replaced by a computer list of voters, many of which proved to have the same handwriting as a hundred others.

This must now be national, or we are going to lose our deep devotion to unity as the United States of America should always be. With a President who has gotten rich off Foreign Aid Packages by going to the country on a jet plane and threatening to cancel the packages of several countries if they didn't play ball and hand over extortion amounts he dictated. There was a viral video, not to be confused with the other two, in which Biden bragged to his friends about a billion dollar deal he got using his VP chair to cancel the entire foreign aid package by creating a narrative that deemed that particular country unworthy of Congressional funds that were voted on already. I saw that video. It's not there anymore because of the amount of his demand being one billion dollars cash in less than 6 hours, just like the one of the "million" dollars if his son was not allowed to be on the Burisma payroll for megabucks per every month of the year with a no show at the meeting.

Actually, it will end when he announces he's retiring from politics. At that point, the purpose behind the harassment will go away and they'll move on to the next Republican that represents a threat to their power.
