So, Biden is the president, if Trump is given immunity, Biden's going to be the first one to get to use it.

Literally he'll be GOD, he can do whatever he likes, laws are beneath him.

So he goes out there and arrests all Republicans, and walks the next election.

Happy?

arrests? president for life biden won;t be wasting any more billable hours on these rubes.

aside on immunity: is the article 2 duty of the president to "faithfully execute the laws."

Yeah, and if they find things to arrest Republicans with, they don't even need them to be true. And once you've got enough, who cares? Nobody's complaining unless they're in prison.

we'd really have no choice, would we? trump will use this unthinkable power, won't he.

we are at the "council of elrond" on this particular ring of power. this entire immunity idea needs to be thrown into the nearest volcano.

/----/ It appears, the USSC is kicking the case back asking for clarifications on what actions the DA considers absolute immunity and which are personal which a president can be charged with. This will push the trial past the November election.

ARGUMENT ANALYSIS

Supreme Court appears likely to side with Trump on some presidential immunity

Representing Trump, John Sauer told the justices that without presidential immunity from criminal charges, the “presidency as we know it” will be changed. The “looming threat,” he contended, will “destroy presidential decisionmaking precisely when” the president needs to be bold. And the impact of the court’s decision, he suggested, will have an impact far beyond Trump’s case. Be pointed to the prospect, for example, that President Joe Biden could be charged with unlawfully inducing immigrants to enter the United States illegally through his border control policies.

Several justices pressed Sauer on how to distinguish official acts, for which a former president would enjoy immunity under his theory, from private acts, for which he could still face criminal charges.
Chief Justice John Roberts asked Sauer about a scenario involving a president’s official act – appointing an ambassador – that he does in exchange for a bribe. When Sauer conceded that accepting the bribe is private conduct, Roberts urged Sauer to explain how the boundary between an official act and a private one would “come into play.” Prosecutors could bring charges against the former president for accepting a million dollars, Roberts queried, but they can’t say what it’s for?

Someone else had posted this same or very similar such question (if Trump walks, so does Biden) and I have to laugh.......Do you guys not even realize just what you are saying or suggesting????

You are admitting or suggesting Biden would need immunity for criminal behavior. Sometimes ya'll just don't make a lick of sense

Also using absurd examples (i.e. sending in a SEAL team to assassinate a rival), as an action that could fall under immunity.

It's important to note that, to a great extent, we're not dealing with serious people here.

What if his teleprompter tells him to pause though? what if we hack his teleprompter and tell him to shuffle left and he falls off the stage? what then?

I think it would be a bloody mess and maybe the beginning of America as a banana republic

Why are libs dreaming of arresting other Americans ?

If you have that much excess energy you should be rounding up illegal alien foreigners

He already has State prosecutors trying to INFLUENCE and obstruct the 2024 election by taking out his primary opponent. Seems he can already do whatever he likes. And yes there was email correspondence between the National Archives and the Biden white house when they were cooking up their going after Trump about documents. They were searching early on for whatever thing would be useful to prevent Trump from runnig again. You can all deny it, but it doesnt change the reality.

Yeah, if the Supreme Court goes for it, they're going against the very basics of separation of powers that the Founding Fathers wanted. Then who could take this court seriously?

Doesn't really matter, you think Biden is running the presidency?

Nope. Trump has done this to himself.
