This is what happens when you choose to isolate yourself from the world and elect hardcore fanatics as dictators.
It is their choice...this is what they chose.

Thats an interesting take on the complicated state of Syria. Would you like to flesh it out a bit ?

But it's not that complicated.
Death and poverty is a way of life in the M.E.
This is what happens when you embrace fanatical idealogy and elect psychopaths as your leader.

Why do you think it's complicated? It's not really that complicated.
Well, for a start you have a President who is more akin to being a gangster.
You have a country that is ethnically diverse but had its borders drawn up on an arbitrary basis.
There has been a civil war for several years which has been fed by post cold war politics.
You have a region that the West, and its neighbours, continues to pour weapons into.

Its a big knot to untie. And perhaps its not difficult to see why people are trying to get out.

Put simply, the reasons migrants are going to Europe are 1) neighboring nations are already saturated with migrants resulting in a "less than optimal" lifestyle and 2) Europe welcomed them.

As for why there are so many migrants that Europe even became a possibility for them to begin with, we can pin that directly on America.

As Chesterton once said: “when those stop believing in God they then do not believe in nothing, they will believe in anything.”

This is your most important quest, as is ours.

So you can analyze all your factors and pretend you have found the reason Syria is so screwed up and refugees abound and hatred abounds and everyone is killing everyone and your fine efforts will amount to nil.

The Middle East is wrought with sadness because there are dark spirits in that religion that will not allow peace with their neighbors, even amongst themselves. Quite a long history of it, even from its inception.

The father of this race / religion is Ishmael. Just reference Genesis 16 if you want to see a prophecy from the Jewish G-d fulfilled.

11And the angel also said to Hagar, “You are now pregnant and will give birth to a son. You are to name him Ishmael (which means ‘God hears’), for the LORD has heard your cry of distress. 12This son of yours will be a wild man, as untamed as a wild donkey! He will raise his fist against everyone, and everyone will be against him. Yes, he will live in open hostility against all his relatives.” (the New Living Bible translation)

I think it may become worse as ISIS shuffles across North Africa.

I agree. Egypt is in no danger but Libya should be interesting and Algeria is basically a pipeline straight into France unless they've tightened things up a bit.

As expected.

Consider yourself warned, just the same.

Next time someone wonders why refugees are risking everything to come to Europe, show them this

I know that there is no link between all the bombing and the "savage muslim rape gangs" but this doesnt look like a good place to bring up kids.

And what has this to do with Europe ? Are we the ones dropping the bombs on the civilians, or is it the Syrians themselves. Maybe you should look at the MSM reports that are showing less than 20% of the refugees are from Syria and educate yourself to reality. The muslims are invading in large numbers and unless we stop them now we will become just like Syria, so where will you escape to when we do ?

What is there to flesh out Assad was elected to rule and the people who didn't want him rose up in a civil war. Now insurgents have joined in the fighting as they saw Syria ripe for being taken over, look to Iran for the original insurgents.

That sounds just like Britain under Corbyn and his neo Marxist cronies. He wants everyone to be equal, as long as he is more equal than the rest.

I think that the game is up for Libya already.

Risking everything?

The ones at risk are all the women, children and elderly these young men leave behind in order to invade Europe.

How apt.
