Was on the BBC last night.
Its a doc about the plight of Gays in Chechnya.
And they have it pretty bad. Nazi Germany like bad.
The doc focussed on the work of a small group of Russian activists who are operating an underground railway to get people out of that hell hole.

I think you can see it on HBO.

Chechnya is a small Muslim state which is part of Russia. It is run by some beardy twat called Ramzan Kadyrov with a rod of iron. he seems to get a free hand from Putin because he keeps a lid on terror threats whilst obviously they share certain beliefs, for example persecuting Gays.

In return Moscow pumps a lot of cash into the republic.

"Anya" was a lesbian teenager who was desperate to get out. Her uncle had found out she was gay and was blackmailing her for sex. He was threatening to tell her father who would probably kill her.

There was video footage of gays being rounded up in the street, being attacked, one girl was kicked and punched by two police officers who then brought out shears to cut her hair off.

Many people have disappeared.

It showed a world of fake IDs, safe houses and elaborate strategies to outwit the secret police.

The primary aim was to get them out of Chechnya and into Russia which is nominally a bit safer. Then they apply for asylum in the West. They are still not safe in Russia and "Anya" was "disappeared" during the film.

Last year they managed to save 151 people from Chechnya and get them to the West. Canada took 44 of them. Its the most shocking thing you will see this year.

God bless America for making this film.

You already admitted on an open forum that you are gay, British and a college professor. Chechnya belongs to Russia.

A lot of it sounds Bradford where your boyfriends live and groom teens for sex.

And yet people invite the Muslims into their countries with open arms...............I still remember when the Muslims took an entire school of children hostage there...........and the world complained including us about Russian brutality there over Muslim Terrorists...........

Wherever the Muzzies go...........their ideals go with them.....and then shit hits the fan.

Those people who took the school are pretty much the same characters who are killing Gays in Chechnya.

The oppressed in the film are Muslims who are being persecuted by Muslims. I doubt that they present a threat to the West. They want western freedom and to be able to live their lives without being killed.

The thugs revel in the experience and there are clips in the film. Watch them and then imagine it is your child being brutalised by the Chechnyan gestapo.

This is real persecution by a superpower. It is obviously not on a persecution scale of having to wear a mask in the Mall but it is nevertheless persecution.

They filmed in Grozny and it looks like a transformed place. Obviously a lot of money has gone into doing that.

Oh no, the poor aids ridden child molesters! If you want to be gay, go to a gay country in the West. Child molestation is frowned upon in Eastern Europe and will likely get your shit kicked in.

I don’t care if child molesters with aids get roughed up by Russian Mussies. That’s not our problem you ass bandit. Just because you’re gay doesn’t mean that everyone in Eastern Europe has to accept your bullshit.
