Congress has the authority and mandate to hold other branches of the government accountable....

The famous impeachments of presidents doesn't necessarily have to be just presidents.....it holds true for Prosecutors, Judges and all sorts of people doing naughty things....including their own membership.

Any federal judge can be impeached....
Any federal prosecutor can be impeached.
Any federal employee whether hired, appointed, or elected can be impeached by congress.

Unfortunately, impeachment is a toothless power rendered useless in the current hyper partisan environment.

Congress is busy trading stocks.....like really really busy.
Or telling others how to trade stocks.

And....its amazing to me how a 9 year old little girl, granddaughter of a congressman is now a multimillionaire......but the congressman has not traded any stocks whatsoever.....

Cutting 4,000 positions on DOJ.

Loss of over 10,000 lawyers and career professionals at DOJ who were fired, quite, resigned, or took retirement becasue of bad leadership and the destruction of the once proud DOJ.

Inability to fill remaining openings with qualified candidates because those that are qualified don't want anything to do with the current DOJ.

Lowering standards for hiring just to get some warm body into the positions they can fill.

Nominating incompetent leadership at the DOJ where loyalty was more important than the Constitution, the Law, and the application of justice.

Just a few "How did..." off the top of my head.

We are seeing a DOJ that is MUCH more political because the professionals have left, many that are in the jobs now are much less qualified and are there for loyalty to a man, not because of justice.

I'm an Anti-Trump Republican. I want my party back.

And Ya, Trump committed espionage - IMHO - getting the case dismissed on a "novel legal theory" that NO Special Counsel had ever had applied to them. Trump's espionage wasn't dismissed on the merits, on the merits he faced conviction on the fact. It got dismissed by a pet judge, hoping for an appointment as AG, Appeals Court, or even a Supreme Court position.

A "novel legal theory" directly in opposition to the United States Code.

Well to be fair and honest about it all.....

It's the Judges that really matter.

Prosecutors today would have been disbarred for the crap they regularly pull today in most courtrooms. Even fellow prosecutors would prosecute the other lawyers from their own office in years past.

We have so many deliberately politically radicalized and activist judges.....it's a wonder we have a constitution at all.

We have lasted 250 years as a nation SAME CONSTITUTION.....longer than any other nation in existence in history.

Fixing our constitution or re-interpreting it in a new way is the WORST idea anyone ever has had.
