"We need to recognize that women are the weaker sex." - Marjorie Taylor Greene, 4/7/22

Does it? Would you rather have someone physically strong but weak of character watching your back or the opposite?

Is a Female communications specialist any less capable of doing her job than a male one?

When I was in boot camp we had guy that had spent 3 years in the NFL in our platoon. Big hulk of a man. So of course the DIs made him the Platoon Guide right out the gate. Before we were 1/3 of way done his lack of internal strength showed its ugly head and the DIs picked the smallest, weakest Marine in the platoon to replace him hoping to motivate him.

That little skinny weak guy never gave up the position and ended up the Company Honor man and got promoted upon graduating Boot camp to E3. I ran in to him 12 years later and he was a 1stSgt.

There is so very much more to strength than being able to pick up more weight.
Great story. You win the debate. Thanks for the share and for your service

There is so many more things important than just brute physical strength.

When I was a LCpl I had a SSgt that was on the All Marine Wrestling team, he was an alternate for the US Olympic team. He was a tiny guy, his wrestling weight was 99 pounds, he literally had to get a waiver to join he was so small. He did Greco-Roman wrestling so it was mostly upper body.

Once when we were at a CAX in 29 Palms and it was boring and I was talking shit, I had a good 75 pounds on him. He challenged me to wrestle so being the cocky young Marine I jumped at the chance. It took maybe 12 seconds for him to turn me into a pretzel and have me tapping out.

You surly aren’t stupid enough to suggest that all women are weaker than all men are you?
All women are not weaker than all men

But you dont want to lower standards to the weakest female soldier

Set the standards however you want, anybody regardless of their sex should have the opportunity to serve if they can meet requirements. But you are blankety saying that women shouldn’t serve because they are weak. That’s textbook sexism and it is contradictory to your point that it should be based on strength

The are not needed in combat roles

the push for that comes from radical feminists who dream of female chairmen of the joint chiefs of staff and other combat command positions

The push for that came from the Democrats and those who were looking for more expendable people under the guise of feminism. They were hiding behind it.

I dont think so

Pussy-whipped democrats were afraid of tje radical feminists and caved into their demands

Pregnancy is a show of strength? Who knew? :dunno:

Multiple labors and deliveries while we raise other children and often work? Absolutely. This is not to reduce the contribution of men. Men are strong where they need to be strong, which is in many areas. But we are too.

I am in no way knocking women, I have a wife and 5 daughters.

But, pregnancy in no way, demonstrates strength. Pain tolerance? Possibly. Mental toughness? Definitely. Most women today choose to get an epidural to bypass the pain.

But it has nothing to do with strength.

That’s not your call to make whether they are needed or not. We live in a free country where women and anybody else should have the freedom to pursue whatever they want. If a strong woman who could whoop your ass wants to serve in our military in a combat role and she passes the requirements then she should have every right to do so. You can’t make a solid argument without tripping all over yourself. Sexism is indefensible, you're in a pickle

And while we do rightfully acknowledge that just might as well confirm that men have penises and girls don’t

I hope I’m still entitled to my opinion

but it should not be left up to the radical feminists either
Of course youre entitled to your opinion. Just as I’m entitled to call your opinion sexist and wrong. I don't see radical feminists calling the shots either nor do I see why their opinions should have any impact on yours.

Uh huh. Go tell your wife that and look at her face carefully when you do. Five children she had? Yeah? Running a household, toddler on her hip and big baby bump on her belly?

I'm not sure what your angle is here....I'm an evangelical Christian so I believe every word the Bible says about marriage and Adam's rib.

Oh are we having the argument about women in the military? Geez. No doubt men on the whole make far better soldiers for many reasons. Solo exceptions exist of course
