Is a Female communications specialist any less capable of doing her job than a male one?

When I was in boot camp we had guy that had spent 3 years in the NFL in our platoon. Big hulk of a man. So of course the DIs made him the Platoon Guide right out the gate. Before we were 1/3 of way done his lack of internal strength showed its ugly head and the DIs picked the smallest, weakest Marine in the platoon to replace him hoping to motivate him.

That little skinny weak guy never gave up the position and ended up the Company Honor man and got promoted upon graduating Boot camp to E3. I ran in to him 12 years later and he was a 1stSgt.

There is so very much more to strength than being able to pick up more weight.

If it is a matter of strength then that could be weeded out though training. You surly aren’t stupid enough to suggest that all women are weaker than all men are you? If a women can perform the physical requirements then would you still have a problem?
