As millions of Americans buckle under the weight of record-breaking inflation, Republicans in Congress have remained adamant that President Biden, or rather "Bidenflation," is the main culprit of price increases across the board, dismissing concerns of corporate profiteering out of hand. But a new analysis reveals that Republicans are collecting millions of dollars in donations from the very corporations under scrutiny, calling into question the party's ability to honestly assess just what's causing prices to soar.

According to an Accountable.US reportexclusively obtained by Salon, three Republican senators and fifteen members of the House GOP caucus have raked in at least $5,709,425 from corporations that have used inflation as a pretext for jacking up prices.

Looks like McConnel’s court packing is paying off.

According to an Accountable.US report three Republican senators and fifteen members of the House GOP caucus have raked in at least $5,709,425 from corporations that have used inflation as a pretext for jacking up prices. Corporate profits were the highest they were last year, and you have the Republican caucus in the Senate and the House basically trying to give them a pass," said Tony Carrk, Executive Director of Accountable.US.

Chief among Corporate America's political guardians is Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., who last year raked in $1.24 million from industry behemoths like Walmart, Kroger, Chevron, Johnson & Johnson, and Ford. Many of McConnell's own corporate benefactors, including Kroger and J&J, have openly bragged about hiking prices in investor calls, celebrating inflation as a unique opportunity to pass along costs to their customers. In a similar vein, J&J CEO Joaquin Duato reportedly told investors that the need to "address suffering and death" amid the pandemic should be a sign of "optimism" and "opportunity," suggesting that the company's price increases were driven by an impulse to expand profit margins.

GOP response: But - But - But Hunters laptop...w-w-what about Hunters laptop!? 😲

You conveniently point out Republicans--while just neglecting to mention how many democrats and independents have used their investments as an inflation hedge. You are a moron. People in all walks of life invest in the stock market. Clean up in aisle three.

Okay? We all know he’s Establishment, just like nearly all Dems. Give us the breakdown of corporate payoffs to Dems now. They all need to go.

Of course we had a guy not part of the Establishment that called these pigs out, and he was crucified for it. Now you got your Establishment boob in the White House, so why are you complaining?

Plus Trump all on his own made the decision to give his Presidential
salary to Charity. Each Fiscal year to a different Charity. Not silly charities, either.
But important and deserving ones.
Now Mitch ... Is another story.Made most his millions thru his marriage.
To the former Secretary of Transportation under Trump.
And the Secretary of Labor under Bush 43.
Elaine Chao is seldom mentioned ever.Because Mitch is kinda sneaky quiet
about his personal life.Mrs. McConnell has very wealthy family in China.
So now you know part of the story.

Hmmm, this is strange, because if the inflation is driving the citizen's to stop buying, stop vacationing, and therefore it is causing the citizen's to save instead of spend, then how are these corporation's benefitting from high inflation in the nation that will take their model's well into the future ? Is it a short term benefit before the possible collapse, otherwise while they (whoever is entrusted to be in charge, and that might be corrupt), just sit there with their golden parachute at the ready taking advantage of a crisis ??

Are these alledged corporate gougers the same types that figure they are to big to fail, and that the corporation will always get bailed out before the fall, yet meanwhile the current crop of management will be long gone (golden parachuted out), before the bail out comes so they could care less ?

I see a lot of this stuff today, where companies were consolidated under huge corporate company titles (but outs), and it's managers either can't control the behemoth's or they are modern day educated Marauder's taking advantage of the chaos to gain profits because the thing has become to big and clumsy to stand up right like it should through turbulent time's. Resources are quickly depleted, lives turned upside down, and managers bringing in the spoils from it all until the bail, then they'll go employ the same tactics at another swollen behemoth ripe for the taking.

Hey, we working class conservatives aren't blind to the bull crap, and yes we can chew gum and walk at the same time, otherwise you dang right we need to go after Hunter in order to know if him and his daddy Joe were two corrupt human beings in hopes that it will lead to other corrupt human beings in which this nation has fallen for just like it has fallen for these corporation's screwing the country over for to long now.
