Was Trump right?

Anybody that crosses the border illegally should be allowed to live here, but NEVER allowed to get a job here, get a drivers license, get medical help, or get government money of any kind.

Cut off the REASON they are slithering across the border by the millions, and they will stop coming here.

Are there (gasp) criminals coming across the border?

I'd suggest that there are always criminals coming across borders. I mean, the UN is in New York, of course criminals are coming across the border. Some have diplomatic passports. Some are US citizens go abroad and coming back. Some are illegals.

What's your point?

They are mostly ALL criminals.

So theoretically, could one just beat the crap out of any illegal and demand $5,000? I'm just asking for a friend. :04:

I certainly would not discourage it. I put my second born through college that way. :smoke:

Every person who crosses into the US illegally is a criminal. What is the part of ILLEGAL do dumbocrats not understand.

Of course, every day.

Everyone who crossed the border illegally broke the law, so they're all criminals. Some far more than others.
Some who cross the border are smuggling drugs such as fentanyl.

***snip***

In the years since, drug dealers started using fentanyl as a cheap substitute to cut their drugs and stretch them farther. Today, according to the CDC, fentanyl is the leading cause of death for adults ages 18-45 in the United States.

“We are in the worst overdose crisis we’ve ever been in in the United States,” said Lisa Raville, executive director of the Harm Reduction Action Center in Denver. “In a magical world there would be no drugs, but we live here.”

In the year ending in April 2021, fentanyl claimed the lives of 40,010 Americans ages 18-45. That’s more than car accidents (22,442), suicide (21,678), COVID (21,335), and cancer (17,114).

And almost all of those drugs are passing through legal customs entries, being floated in illegally, or flown in illegally. Very little is coming "across" the border like you suggest.

The drug problem seems to be solving itself.
