Was the Monroe Doctrine rooted in the premise of America First?

So, according to all these neocon excuses, we should just topple every leader on the planet that we think wont be good for us.
For the constitution and national security n'stuff.
Yes, good idea.

Of course you dismiss, instead of respond.

You are like a teenage cheerleader who was dumped by the High school QB and now has nothing better to do than to whine about what said QB is doing and how terrible a person he is.
I did respond. You idiots said the same shit 70 years ago. Sorry if you didnt like that

Argumentum ad absurdum.

Maduro was an illegitimate ruler who refused to step down after being told to do so.

And his election was declared a fraud not just by the US, but by most of the rest of the world as well.

He was also under indictment in a US court for drug trafficking.

Right? Lets just take over the south american continent. America first! Taking over thrid world shit holes will make america great again!
America IS THE western hemisphere. Without us most of central and South America would be just as ass backwards as Africa is. WE are the reason the Anericas have any civilization at all, and these other countries need to get thst through their heads.

“Do not meddle in Anerica!s affairs, for though art crunchy and taste great with catsup.

The Monroe Doctrine is a United States foreign policy position that opposes European colonialism in the Western Hemisphere. It holds that any intervention in the political affairs of the Americas by foreign powers is a potentially hostile act against the United States.[1] The doctrine was central to American grand strategy in the 20th century.[2]

President James Monroe first articulated the doctrine on December 2, 1823, during his seventh annual State of the Union Address to Congress (though it was not named after him until 1850).

In terms of Venezuela, they fall under the Monroe Doctrine. However, Venezuala was nothing more than a proxy for China, who is an adversary of the US.

Much of Venezuela's exported oil is sold to China, although Beijing declares very little and imports are often rebranded. Imports hit about 470,000 ‌bpd during 2025, according to energy analytics firm Vortexa, or roughly 4.5% of China's seaborne crude imports.

Venezuela also was importing drugs into the US that helps kill thousands of Americans every year.

And lastly, the piss poor was Maduro treated his own people, owning more gold and oil than any other country on earth and instead focusing on waging war on the US in various was as China's proxy, was enough in my opinion to justify doing pretty much anything to the man.

I know I have personally had enough of watching the devastating results of the drug epidemic all around me, as each of us has been effected by it on some personal level. I also see what the drug cartels are doing to the people of Central and South America which is why they all are wanting to flood the US border.

Enough!!
Ya know. I was dead set against this yesterday. However, I have read and heard some things that brought me back down to Earth.
We really did need to secure our neighborhood from the Chicoms and the Russkies.
I hope that Zio puppet Machado doesn't get pushed too hard by the Jews.
However, if she does, at least we know the country will be friendly to our oil companies.
That's worth the tradeoff, I guess.

Don't you think having good neighbors instead of drug dealers is a good idea?

He thinks it's the 1800's and the two oceans protect us from all threats.

It's cute that you folks think our government actually cares about illegal drugs. You might want to look into who has been involved with bringing drugs into this country in the first place.

A stable friendly Venezuela would.
1. Allow many of the refugees to return home
About 8m left, about 500,000 entered the US and would return.
2. Establish trade with a government that will need said trade to restore their economy
Not sure what they have except oil??
3. Improve output of Venezuelan exports, oil chief amongst them
True, which lowers the cost of oil and helps the US economy, and hurts the Russian economy.
4. Remove Chinese, Cuban, Russian, and Iranian influence from Venezuela
Biggest reason to remove Maduro, get our adversaries and drug cartels out of the Americas. Is Columbia, Panama, Cuba next?

500k are the ones we know about in the US. we've already seen we have plenty more unaccounted for.

Oil is the big one, but they are also an agricultural exporter, like most developing countries.
