Zone1 Was Eve expelled from Eden, or did she leave with Adam?

Would you send anyone into a life or death clandestine battle armed with only a water pistol? Wouldn't you want them to learn something first, weapons tactics and especially the enemy?
Of course I wouldn't. All the more reason I would "arm" someone with basic knowledge rather than have them remain blissfully ignorant. It seems like a poor message being conveyed by the story.

So would God, thats why they were told they could eat fruit that was pleasing to the eye and good to eat from other trees, which is obviously a metaphorical reference to other teachers.

Its like trying to understand the Bible without basic knowledge of history, literature, science, and biology. Without being armed with that knowledge first, many people lose their minds.

Even many people who do have that knowledge have been "beguiled" and lose their minds.

True?

Thats the danger of the knowledge of good and evil, many choose evil mistaking it for good. Taking a journey through hell is unnecessary and a very very very hard way to learn a lesson.

The danger is some people never learn or have their sanity restored for the rest of their life.

Just like in the fairy tale.

So God wanted them to gain knowledge from "other teachers" but not gain knowledge from the Tree of Knowledge? Sheesh what a tortured story. And you apparently view the Garden of Eden as a "fairy tale" while many Christians believe it was a real place. Same ol same ol.

Not the tree of knowledge, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. It makes a difference.

Sheesh what a tortured story.
I think it is a brilliant story, considering when it was written, teaching hard learned lessons of the distant past that will always be relevant to the intelligent and essential to life in Eden.

If Jews Christians Muslims Atheists or anyone of any religious belief or unbelief understood that story Trump would never have made a dime ripping people off much less get elected.

Especially through deceit corruption bribery murder economic leverage and flat out fraud.

And you apparently view the Garden of Eden as a "fairy tale" while many Christians believe it was a real place. Same ol same ol.
So if you had to choose one, as if your life depended on it, which one would you agree with? A talking serpent should be a dead giveaway if you have been armed with any knowledge.

Or could it be that both positions are true?

Yet another biblical story I don't understand. Why would it be bad to eat from "The Tree Of Knowledge" and presumably know the difference between Good and Evil? :confused-84:
Because the Garden of Eden was a perfect place. Free of sin because there was no knowledge of it. But beyond the knowledge of sin, eating from that tree caused a blood issue passed down through the generations. We know about sin to this day, and are tempted by it daily.

Eve was evicted. Adam had a choice. Continue to have dominion over the earth, or turn dominion over to Satan and follow your wife. So, he ate the fruit and followed his wife out the door. God put guards at the entrances to Eden to prevent Adam and Eve or their offspring from eating from the tree of life thus making sin eternal. And then God followed them out of Eden and continued to guide them.

Sin is a blood issue that affects us all. God sent His Son to offer us a blood transfusion. It is how we are cleansed by the blood of the Lamb of God.

Blood transfusion? You are nuts. And I mean that in the nicest possible way....:cuckoo:

God would send someone into battle with a slingshot, or a jawbone
True.

Samson slaughtered 1000 Philistines with the jawbone of an ass, probably dings ancestor.

That right there is some ancient Hebrew humor.

You have been carried away into fantasy land by your own unrestrained imagination. Damn.

Lol. Thanks for being so gentle with me hob. :smiliehug:
Now take this! :eusa_angel:

  • 1 John 1:7 - "The blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin."
  • Hebrews 9:22 - "Without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness."
  • Revelation 1:5 - "To Him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by His blood."
  • Ephesians 1:7 - "In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses."
  • Colossians 1:20 - "Through Him to reconcile all things, making peace by the blood of His cross."
  • Romans 5:9 - "Since we have now been justified by His blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through Him?"
The pure blood of Christ and it's effect on us is hard to miss.
And He gave it to us as a gift.
Accept the gift...

Now take this! :eusa_angel: ...
A swing and a miss! lol. Remember it's 1, 2, 3 strikes and you're out in the old ball game!

Jesus said "unless you eat my flesh and drink my blood you can have no life in you." True? So then please tell me, what is the blood of Christ and how does a person drink it?

What did Jesus serve them? Blood and flesh or wine and bread? They used to eat bread and drink wine daily. Jesus said when you do, remember my flesh that will be torn and my blood that will be spilled.
So, did Christ advocate for remembrance of their covenant, or cannibalism?
He goes on to explain exactly what He was comparing the wine to:

Mark 15:22-25 And as they were eating, he took bread, and after blessing it broke it and gave it to them, and said, “Take; this is my body.” And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, and they all drank of it. And he said to them, “This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many. Truly, I say to you, I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God.
^ Wine reference.

I bake my Aunt's chocolate cake and I think of her when I make it.. I don't frost Daisy and bite a chunk out of her arm. I remember her when I make the cake.

Analogy ~ a comparison between two things, typically for the purpose of explanation or clarification.

What if Eve was not expelled from the Garden of Eden at all?

The argument goes like this.
God's command was:
“From the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, you shall not eat from it.”
But when the woman eats, the text says she took from the fruit and ate.
Later, when the man speaks, he says:
“She gave me from the tree, and I ate.”
So this reading makes a very sharp distinction:
  • The woman ate from the fruit
  • Adam ate from the tree itself
  • That means the man, not the woman, directly violated the command
Then look at the expulsion itself. The verse says:
“And He drove out Adam”
It does not say: “He drove out the man and the woman.”
So the claim is simple but radical:
Adam was expelled from Eden. Eve was not.

According to this approach, Eve then left Eden to live with Adam in this world, because without that there could be no marriage, no children, and no human future.

And perhaps that is why women often feel less at home in this world than men do. In this view, man is more tied to the work of this world, while woman remains more connected to a more complete world, closer to Eden. Marriage, then, is not just a partnership between two people. It is the meeting of this world and a higher world.

What do you think?

Eve who? Some mythical figure?

He goes on to explain exactly what He was referring to. Wine, not blood. Wine that Jesus went on to explain:

Mark 15:22-25 And as they were eating, he took bread, and after blessing it broke it and gave it to them, and said, “Take; this is my body.” And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, and they all drank of it. I asked you what the blood of Christ is and how does a person drink it. Remember?

Another swing and a miss! 2 strikes, no balls. lol. The underdog is ahead the bases loaded its the end of the 9th inning 2 outs. 1 more strike and the game is over. The crowd is going wild!

To eat the flesh of Jesus is to accept his teaching that the law is not to be taken literally. To drink his blood is to comply with the Laws demands in that light to receive the promised life.

Life is in the blood, in the doing.

It was never about dicking around with bread and wine in church. Does this shock you?

no balls.
If you had any, you'd listen.

To eat the flesh of Jesus is to accept his teaching that the law is not to be taken literally
His purpose for coming to the earth was to fulfill the Law for the Jews. A final permanent sacrifice with His blood being sprinkled on the altar in the Holy of Holies and the veil in the Temple keeping us from God, torn in two, giving us direct access to our Father. That is why we can go boldly to God. We aren't laden with sin and expecting the worst.

Show me the scripture where Jesus breaks the bread, hands it to them, and tells them not to take the Law literally...

Eve was a slut.

a word that illustrates the high end of being a desert dweller and too stupid to know any better -

eve chose self determination and its many facets for their choice of livelihood - another lacking for desert dwellers and their madeup commandments, religion of servitude and denial.

Jesus identified bread as a metaphor for teaching when he told his disciples, "How can you fail to see that I was not speaking about bread!" Would you like to see chapter and verse?

Before the last supper Jesus said, "the greatest among you must make himself servant to the least". Then he tried to tell them he was about to be arrested and killed. Right? Then during the last supper the disciples started arguing amongst themselves about who was going to be the greatest in the kingdom of God which told Jesus two things. They didn't understand a word he said and didn't give two shits about the fact that he said he was about to be killed.

Then Jesus took bread handed it to his disciples and said "Eat this". What does that tell you?

 So are you saying now that they weren't actually eating flesh, and drinking blood? That it was an analogy, referring to the Law?
hob, you are all over the place. You have created your very own religion. And apparently it is pliable to your instruction, and much more flexible than the Word I rely on. Good luck with that...

^Garbage.
Remember me when you eat bread and drink wine. HE SAID SO:
Luke 22:19 "Do this in remembrance of me.” He couldn't have been more clear. What he meant was, DO THIS IN REMEMBERANCE...
