WAR: Saudi Arabia Joins NATO Fleet

Nov. 21 (Bloomberg) -- Saudi Arabia said it will join a fleet of NATO warships on an anti-piracy mission, as hijackers bolstered defenses around an oil-laden Saudi tanker captured off the East African coast.

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization has four warships off Somalia. India, Malaysia and Russia have sent warships, and a European Union fleet is expected to reach the zone next month. The U.S. coalition in Afghanistan has a task force there, bringing the total of warships in the area to 15, according to French military spokesman Christophe Prazuck. The area is almost twice the size of Alaska.

I guarantee you there's a MEU closer than Afghanistan. We trained relentlessly on VBSS. Those Somali's wouldn't know what hit them before they had Marine recon crawling in and out of their every orifice.

Warships don't do anything but sink other ships. That's not exactly getting them back. It's a loss for both sides.

Our present administration seem to be people that believe in using ten pound sledges for pimples. What you suggest is the correct course. And we should be deploying some Predators. Follow these fellows back to home, and make it cease to exist.

Send 'em at the pirates in one of those really cool landing craft that you've got. You know.....the one with the Bushmaster. Fill the clips with that really cool magnetic shell, and air burst about 5 shots right over the top of 'em. Saw what happened on FutureWeapons when they did that. The bot stayed floating, but anything that was in it would have been TOAST!

Figure after about 10 or 20 pirate boats are cleaned out, they might start to play nice.
