Probably a smart move on Israel's part. They're about to have an Islamic state on their northern border.

"The Israeli military said Sunday that it had taken up new positions in a buffer zone between Israel and Syria in the Golan Heights as it prepared for potential chaos following the lightning-fast fall of President Bashar al-Assad’s regime.

While the Israel Defense Forces was increasing its presence in the areas as a precaution, and said it was on high alert, there were no major changes to guidelines for residents of the Golan Heights.

“The IDF has deployed troops in the buffer zone and in a number of areas that are necessary to defend, in order to ensure the security of the communities in the Golan Heights and the citizens of Israel,” the military said in a statement.
Syrian media reports said Israel had launched artillery shelling in the area.

The latest moves come following a fresh assessment and “the possibility of gunmen entering the buffer zone,” the IDF said. “We emphasize that the IDF does not intervene in the events taking place in Syria.”

I figured the instability in Syria would become Iseral's problem sooner rather than later.....The Muslim factions will be looking to find them a focus point to avoid more civil war among themselves.....Israel will be that focus point.....Sure as shit.
Well yeah. Clean Break Strategy calls for destabilizing Syria right after deposing Saddam Hussein.

The new government that will take over in Syria will be looking for financial support from the rich Arab nations, especially the Saudi's, which will give it to them if they establish friendly relations with Israel. Which also gives the Saudis more leverage now to bargain with Israel over the Palestinians.

Trump and Putin now say they don't want anymore involvement in Syria. And we all know how Trump just loves to make deals, don't we?

Funny how things turn out sometimes, isn't it?

Syria probably needs + 1 trillion $ to rebuild, and it will take 1-2 decades to rebuilt.
Syrians know who stood with them and who didn't.
Most of money will come from Qatar + all countries who host Syrian refuges like Germany, Turkey etc.
Saudis ? They may controbute but will never be given a say in the future of Syria.

And Hayat Tahrir al-Sham are going to welcome back the minorities?

Those who were made refugees are the majority within Syrian society.
Made refugees by sectarian minoritiy.

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) is a Kurdish-led self-proclaimed coalition of socialist and ethno-nationalist U.S.-backed ethnic militias and rebel groups. They want a secular, Democratic federalized Syria.

They are considered a terrorist group by Turkey, and Qatar. How's that going to work?

Well the friendly relationship between the Saudis and Israel was one of Trump's deals, wasn't it?

Yeah, and it never panned out. Just like all of Trumps failed deals.

Let us know if Trump ever has a successful deal in his life. On anything.

Apparently he was reminded of his last failure...

"Syria is a mess, but is not our friend, & THE UNITED STATES SHOULD HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH IT," Trump said on Truth Social.

The President-elect added, "THIS IS NOT OUR FIGHT. LET IT PLAY OUT. DO NOT GET INVOLVED!"

The only reason it didn't come to full fruition was because he never got a second term to finish that. And then of course, there was all that money Biden freed up for Iran.

But he's getting his second term now.

I have referenced them many times --- the illegal forces left in Syria .

But Russia did not fall for the bait .
Again .

Just "Business as Usual " in Ukraine .

They were there to keep Turkey and the radical Muzzies from destroying the Syrian oilfields.

Guess we'll be pulling them out soon and letting the whole place blow up.

Calling the same thing two different names :dunno:

Creating a buffer against an antagonist is condemned when Russia does it.

Yes, hypocrisy is the name of the game....different Laws for different countries.

Disgusting but that's how it is. :dunno:
