I Agree.Maybe I'm the only one that gets this, but the reason for Trump's vacillation is that "we" have already hit virtually every military target that can be hit without significantly impacting the "innocent civilian population" of Iran. If the war re-starts, there is no real alternative to striking vital infrastructure (bridges, tunnels, power plants, refineries, water treatment and desalination plants), ALL OF WHICH would harm the civilian population that Trump has promised to support. The civilian population is on the brink of switching from supporting Trump to hating him, and he wants at least their tacit support.
The speculation above that Iran maintains most of its offensive arsenal is Leftist horse-shit; the perpetrators should be dope-slapped.
The thorn in our side, of course is the remaining threat to commercial traffic through the infamous strait. We can scream to the high-heavens that we have neutered the IRGC, but the unwillingness of that traffic to test our safety guarantee is proof to the public-at-large that the IRGC remains in control. The threat to set up a tolling regime is a Three-Stooges-like poke-in-the-eye to Our Beloved President.
I admit that I am mystified as to why the Saudis (etc) threw a fit when Trump promised to escort ships through the strait, to open up commercial traffic again.
The fact seems to remain that Trump's quarantine of Iran hurts them more every day, and costs us very little to maintain. But if the movers&shakers are not personally harmed by it - which seems to be the case - maybe we need to start another round of killing the leading bastards where they sleep.
Catch 22 is that Iran may start pumping massive oil into the gulf as they have run out of storage.
They shut down priducing wells the pressure in the ground might drop and the wells could die. That is TIME CRITICAL NOW
