In everything there is a codex of rules and norms that give things meaning and correctness, so there is also a codex in war.

In wars in which firearms are not used, the possible speed of conquering enemy territory is significantly slower than in a war in which firearms are used, because soldiers feel more tired when firearms are not used and that is good and normal. When soldiers use firearms they do not feel limits, so that the war remains meaningful, regular and correct.

A correct war codex should provide that the speed of conquest of enemy territory should not be different in wars in which firearms are used and in wars in which firearms are not used.

Spanish Empire, Ottoman Empire and other empires used firearms in the occupation of other countries, they quickly occupied that territory and they stayed on that territory for a long time. The consequences of this wrong war are poverty, misery and ruin etc. which we can notice today.

The same applies to other countries that used firearms in war.

Who doesn't use firearms in a war?

Maybe those aboriginals on the North Sentinal Islands, where nobody's allowed to go. But they'd still shoot you full of arrows if you set foot on their island.

What's the point? American colonists used flintlock rifles and locally made black powder and lead balls against the Redcoats.
