BAGHDAD — A woman accused of helping recruit dozens of female homicide bombers looked into the camera and described the process: trolling society for likely candidates and then patiently converting the women from troubled souls into deadly attackers.

The accounts, in a video released Tuesday by Iraq police, offer a rare glimpse into the networks used to find and train the women bombers who have become one of the insurgents' most effective weapons as they struggle under increasing crackdowns.

There also have been cases of women in the West Bank attacking Israeli soldiers to possibly seek imprisonment after being accused of breaking traditional rules on sexual conduct. Relatives can seek harsh punishments, including death, for women seen as dishonoring the family.

What's "a lot", do you have the stats for those who do out of the total population? It's not unusual to hear about it, and one guy in Georgia doesn't mean as a population they all do honor killings. Besides, other then the one in Georgia, how many times has it happened in the U.S.?

Yeah, I wished that was true too for Christians though.

Perhaps as a majority we've stopped such actions. However, we as person cannot ignore the fact that many Gays have been killed for being simply that, abortion clinics bombed,etc.

Good effort, Robert. But methinks this thread is just being perceived as a place for doing their daily Muslim bashing by the resident Muslim haters. They are very vocal yet minor segment of the population who just has to have a target for the hate and spite that wells up inside themselves everyday. It probably stems from some sort of diverted self hatred. People like this will always exist and are pretty much hopelessly forever trapped in their state of impotent rage and anxiety. These Muslim bashers are no different from other hate mongers, it's just that in their case their target is one of today's most vulnerable religious groups, considering current world events and geography and Bush's holy war on terror. In the past these posters would have singled out Jews, Catholics, blacks, gays, women, Communists, Southerners, Northerners, you name it, any current and popular scapegoat for their targets.

Common sense and rational debate has little effect on these posters. However, it's worth it to point out their bogus talking points now and then. Because innocent and confused readers can sometimes get sucked into their games. And then other innocent people could end up getting harmed.

Finding fault with rapist who continue to victimize the victims is hating Muslims? How ridiculous.
