He hasn’t been deported, he is just being held while awaiting a hearing as all illegal, or immigrants who fail to comply with the law should be. Historically immigrants were not released into society until they were properly processed. Some remained on Ellis Island for months before eventually being returned to their home countries for a myriad of reasons.

That would solve a big problem. Detain all the illegals coming up through Mexico at facilities near the border, for months if necessary.
