"If any new taxes are levied on me, or my company, as our current President plans, I will have no choice but to reduce the size of this company."

Now, normally I would not be too opposed to this, but this guy has a history of thinking that things like this are acceptable.

I personally find it hilarious that the man who put a ton of effort to build the largest home (The Queen of Versailles) in the US, yet simultaneously threatens to fire employees if he has to pay ANY new taxes.

He later commented: "It speaks the truth and it gives [employees] something to think about when they go to the polls,"

Seems like some good ole bullying to me.

That makes about as much sense as if an hourly employee stated that if his taxes were raised he would have no other choice except to reduce his hours or quit his job.

Or is he just telling them like it is? Many companies are barely making it and increased taxes will be the end. I'd rather they be honest and let employees know that their jobs may not be secure rather than give them a surprise pink slip. Obama's policies are job killers. If he gets re-elected, there will likely be a global tax since he will make another agreement with the U.N. and allow them to tax the world. It's to prevent anyone from leaving a hell hole and taking their money with them. They want their clutches on peoples' money no matter where they go. It'll be part of the "You can run from socialists, but you can't hide" program.

It is not, teachers are not going to go home to a 90,000 sq/ft home. Teachers are selfless, they are in it for the students benefit, on top of that it is a truly rare thing as most colleges will fire you if you do tell students how to vote. (Happened here a few weeks ago)

It's kind of a no brainer that if the government takes more of our money we cant hire people to do things for us and have to lay off some people.

If I hire an employee, it's for additional profit generating.

The only reason to lay people off is if they no longer produce a profit for the company, and taxes are a percent of that, but unless they're 100% it makes no sense to get rid of said employee.

Teachers work about 60-70 hours a week (or more)... Taking care of other peoples children.
