1. "In Tehran, there were protests in the poorest parts to the richest parts of the city. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the huge crowd in Pol-e-Roomi, a neighborhood in Tehran where prices are comparable to London.
One reason why so many took to the streets is Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi’s call to action for the first time. When he invited people to protest at 8pm on January 8 and 9, his message received 3.2 million likes and 88 million views – a historic record on Persian Instagram.

Why are the richest and poorest parts of Iran, the most religious and the most secular parts, revolting together? Because this revolution isn’t about the left or right.
It is about people wanting to be a nation, rather than an ummah."

2. Democrat media has always lied to make America seem to be the villain;
" It is a painful and notorious narrative. The Obama administration believes that U.S. involvement in the world has been largely harmful: ...
.....and for President Eisenhower’s approval of the removal of (the wildly incompetent if not mad) Mohammad Mosaddegh as leader of Iran and the return of the shah.
This was an astonishing sequence of criticisms of three of America’s most distinguished leaders ...."

3. Democrat Jimmy Carter installed the current regime in Iran.
Carter viewed Khomeini as a religious holy man in a grass-roots revolution rather than the founding father of modern terrorism. U.N. Ambassador Andrew Young said, ā€œKhomeini will eventually be hailed as a saint.ā€ Iran Ambassador William Sullivan, said, ā€œKhomeini is a Gandhi-like figure.ā€ Adviser James Bill proclaimed in a Newsweek interview in 1979 that Khomeini was not a mad mujahid, but a man of ā€œimpeccable integrity and honesty.ā€
. .....in one more stunning example of naïveté and poor judgement, Democrat Jimmy Carter installed the blood thirsty Khomeini in place of the Shah.

4. And when the Iranian people tried to overthrow the insane radicals:
....the U.S. squandered an opportunity to undermine the government established by the Ayatollah Khomeini three decades ago.
In the Arizona GOP debate last week, Santorum noted that "we did absolutely nothing to help" the Green Revolution. But "when the radicals in Egypt and the radicals in Libya, the Muslim Brotherhood ... rise against either a feckless leader or a friend of ours in Egypt, the president is more than happy to help them out."
....the Islamist regime "with its apocalyptic constitution will never give up the atomic bomb" also contradicts conventional wisdom that the Green movement wants a nuclear Iran."
Mideast: During their brutally suppressed protests in 2009, Iranian freedom fighters sent the White House an urgent memo calling for help. Under Obama, America ignored it. 'So now, at this... Read More

5. Democrats more than doubled down in support of the maniac's aims:
Hussein Obama:
March 6, 2012, press conference: "And what I have said is, is that we will not countenance Iran getting a nuclear weapon. My policy is not containment; my policy is to prevent them from getting a nuclear weapon -- because if they get a nuclear weapon that could trigger an arms race in the region, it would undermine our non-proliferation goals, it could potentially fall into the hands of terrorists.ā€

Then he guaranteed Iran nuclear weapons, guaranteed no inspections, sent them a pallet with $400 million in cash, and released another $900 million to them.....and his puppet, Biden, removed sanctions that forbid them selling oil to China.

Democrats lie about everything.

6 "Donald Trump, at least, has spoken up.

The US president has said the regime will be hit ā€˜very hard’ if it acts violently against protesters.

As a result, demonstrators are changing the names of streets in Tehran to ā€˜Trump Street’.

The Crown Prince has said he is ready to lead the transition to democracy.

People chant: ā€˜This is the final battle – Pahlavi will return.’"

It certainly feels like the end is near.

I am happy to see Iranians working to overthrow the authoritarian, religious nationalists that captured their country for so many decades

The "Head of the Snake" won't be easy to kill, but if it dies its an amazing benefit.

I'm wondering if the Gulf States, Sauds, Qataris, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, and UAE would help stand up a secular government in Iran? OR, is the Shia v Sunni divide too big to overcome????

They'll do whatever they think will make them the most $$$

As per the title of the thread, you see what a mistake it was to elect the Democrats Carter and Obama.

Better late than never.

And, how about being fair and changing that picture to Clinton and Epstein.

Better late than never.
The mistake was by Iranians who allowed an authoritarian, religious nationalist movement to grow unchecked in their country

One can only hope that the Iranian people will manage to get rid of these lunatics, and then the world can be more free and more prosperous — especially Iran.

A lesson for you:

It is not about money, it is about death, the main difference between the Left and the Right.....the sanctity of human life.

ā€œWe should by now have become used to the death cult that is thriving at the fringes of the Muslim world. This is the cult of people who are proud to declare, "You love life, but we love death." This is the cult that sent waves of defenseless children to be mowed down on the battlefields of the Iran-Iraq war, that trains kindergartners to become bombs, that fetishizes death, that sends people off joyfully to commit mass murder. Because the death cult is not really about the cause it purports to serve. It's about the sheer pleasure of killing and dying.ā€ Cult of Death

a. It is the blood that informs the act. In the 1971 assassination of Jordan’s prime minister, Wasfi l-Tell, by PLO terrorists. ā€œAs he lay there, one of his killers bent over and lapped the blood that poured from his wounds.ā€ http://www.nationalreview.com/articles/226317/know-thy-enemy/michael-ledeen

b. Leading Muslim clerics often refer to the love of death. Chief Palestinian Authority cleric Mufti Sheikh Ikrimeh Sabri stated, "We tell them, in as much as you love life, the Muslim loves death and martyrdom.ā€ http://old.nationalreview.com/comment/stalinsky200405240846.asp

c. And so, the ideals and idea of America, and the iconic message of the Declaration of Independence, ā€˜life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness,’ is anathema to Islamism, just as it was to fascism and communism, and every totalitarian philosophy.

How better to judge Democrats than looking at what they intended, and the current situation in Iran
They don't make the world better or America better.

They were wrong about Stalin, ā€œUncle Joeā€ to FDR.

They were wrong about Reagan and the Cold War

They were wrong about the Soviet Union.

They were wrong about their precious ā€œAbraham Lincoln Brigade,ā€ in the Spanish Civil War, which the Soviet archives proves was a ā€œrigidly controlled Soviet operation.ā€

They were wrong about Nicaragua, as Communist dictatorships in Latin America turned out not to be ā€˜inevitable revolutions’ after all.

They were wrong about welfare.

They were wrong about crime, as Giuliani’s success proved.

They were wrong about Social Security, which I now heading toward bankruptcy.

They were wrong about ditching our ally, the Shah of Iran, allowing him to be replaced by crazy ayatollahs.
